Video:

Good video quality overall. There was some bluring during some slow panning shots that's about all that seemed to stand out as wrong, it's something that's been showing up in MAC sets lately, not a big deal.

Audio:

Good sound quality. The English dub was fine even during some dramatic scenes. The soundtrack won't blow your mind but it fits well with the show.

Subtitle:

R1 ripped subs the white colored kind, they seemed fine when I tested them some on each disc.

Notes* *I watched this series on a COBY brand DVD player (DVD-224 model) with AV cable on a 25 inch RCA TV. The series it self: Really like drama? At least okay with the idea of a teen love story mixed with some sci-fi and war time stuff? Don't mind lack of action for the most part? Have to see every anime about a teen girl having a hard time in life? If you said "no" to any of that especially the first drama one then stay away from Saikano! I thought it was pretty good but I think that's because I like drama anime a lot.

well... there are some horizntal line but the video quality over all is perfct my advise if just igonre the horizntal liners (belive me its nothing its too damm small that u hardly well ever see it ) you well engoy watching a very good show

saikani is one of my recomnded titles for all the times got nice cute charecters with a very good story devloping more and more in eache episode my advise try it and i hope that you well engoy it

Video:

All I have to say is do not get this set I bought it and was very displeased with the video quality. Horizontal lines appear whenever it pans to the left or right and pixelation is noticiable throughout the entire series.

Audio:

The audio is great since MAC's recent way of encoding with DTS audio.

Subtitle:

Saw no problems with it.

Overall again I must say do not buy this particular set the video is deplorable (very bad) and only because of MAC's recent downgrade to DVD-5's in their set's. I suggest trying a diferent company, but if you really want this se and don't care that much about video then go for it .
