Video:
The video for this set is very high quality. I would say that it is slightly above your standard HK fare. There is some pixilation, but definately not enough to bother your enjoying this set. The video appears however, to be rather bright and the colors washed out at times. This is how the series is however, and is not the fault of encoding. Both Orphen and Orphen:R are from back in the days before digital coloring, so expect some old fashioned animation.
Audio:
Flawless audio. Everything is clear and crisp.

Comment:
The box for this set is pretty standard issue. It is not flashy, and features dvd covers from Orphen:R. But aside from not being flashy, it is very satisfying.
The menus are well done, if not a bit too simple. Simply select and episode and go. Each disk has a "Extra" Disk 4 and 6 have "outtakes" which are probley some of the funniest I have ever seen and almost make me want to buy the R1 sets just to see all the outtakes that were left off. Other disks just have your standard trailers.
The series of Orphan is a bit unique. It could almost seem to be more of an american made show, how the general feel of the anime goes. Orphen has a number of "filler" episodes, and then slips into a deep and engrossing storyline. Orphen:R is a lot more loose however. The second season seems to lack the strong plot of the first, with many filler episodes and the actual plot being dropped in towards the end of the series. However, all in all, fans of comedy fantasy should not miss out on this show. Not as funny as Slayers, but carries a bit more action to make up for it.
