Video:
There was little to no sign of any problems. I think I spotted trace amounts of pixelization in a few episodes here and there but other then that video was flawless. The animation itself looks a bit dated though.
Audio:
Not bad at all. The music fit the mood of the anime well and I actually liked the opening and ending themes which has not happened for quite some time.
Note: I'll talk about the dub here as well. It was done at Ocean Studios so you can be guaranteed almost perfect voice acting. There are one or two characters that sound far too annoying but other then that, smooth sailing.

Comment:
I did not know what to expect when I went into this show. It's almost like a Lord of the Flies set in space. The one different aspect of course is the inclusion of females. You get to see a society try to establish itself and then crumble under its own weight. Set against this backdrop are the various relationships of the cast and how they come to terms with their fate. It's a pretty enjoyable ride and it all comes to a satisfying conclusion by Episode 25. Episode 26 gives you an epilogue set a year or so after the events of the t.v series. It basically tells you what the main character has been doing. I always love a setup like this because so many anime series often leave you hanging. That said, while the show does come to a satisfying conclusion, there are one or two questions left unanswered.
Overall, I'd give it a solid 8 out of 10.
