Video:

I didn't see anything wrong with the video quality of this hk dvd. It was almost perfect. the color was good, and i din't see anything wrong with it.

Audio:

The sound was pretty good. if there were any errors i didn't hear any. I don't know japanese anyways

Subtitle:

the subs were really good. there were some spelling errors, and i didn't notice any gramar errors. i could understand the story very well.

Comment:

This anime is amazing. one of the best i've ever seen. it has a great story and amazing action and romance. it has a littlebit of everything, so everybody can watch it. except for children who are not 13 or more. it has some nudity and sexual situations. note: my dvd was realease by Animation video, so its different from the one i'm reviewing. I guess they are similar.

Video:

The Video Quality was ok. You can tell by the video quality that the show is pretty old. Anyway there are no problems with the video quality here. This DVD BOXED SET is good as an import.

Audio:

The audio quality here is ok too. The music in this set was good. They should've made this set 5.1 Digital Surround but it is still good.

Subtitle:

The Subtitles were good. They had spelling problems and grammar problems too. But you can still understand the story. I don't know why people make such a big deal on subtitles anyway. At least you understand the plot.

Comment:

Thjs set is an awesome set to have in a collection. It has good video and audio qualities. The thing that it lacked was good subtitles. The subtitles were ok but it could've improved a little.

Overall this is a great set for anybody (unless you only like serious animes) for it has great picture and sound and the subs are very good.Only one or two small mistakes per ep but as HK subs go this is one of the best. Get this set and you'll enjoy it so much you'll have to get the second set ^_^ Video -4.5/5 Sound -4.5/5 Subs -4.5/5

Video:

Almost perfect...I'm not an expert at "pixellation", etc. but the video was excellent for me. My friends who mainly watch the R1's didn't notice any difference.

Audio:

The audio was excellent as well.

Subtitle:

The subtitles were excellent. Not perfect, after all it is a HK dvd, but very good and perfectly understandable.

Comment:

I really love this series. I'm a big fan of all the shoujo series though...so if you like romance and the occasional bit of action, this is for you. I'm on the second box, but I had to replace a disk, so hopefully I'll eventually review Seiryu as well.

(Note: My packaging's cover art was different as well, but it's the same set as BeardFan's.)

Comment:

The video is very clear, the sound sounds perfect to my ears. The subs are actually almost completely smooth English, although there are some things that didn't seem translated right at all, even if the sentence was written out correctly. Example: What you hear is Tamahome telling Nuriko not to call him Tama cuz he's not a cat (common Japanese cat name?) while he prepares to go after Miaka in the tenth episode, but what's displayed is something about have a little faith in him (he'll get back all right or something similar).

Comment:

The audio and visuals are amazing. The subs are very good but have occasional spelling problems. The storyline is very good and it does not become repetitive like other long anime series. If you like fushigi Yugi...this is a very good HK set

Video:

Good video. If you don't get too close to the screen you won't notice any errors

Audio:

Excellent stereo.

Subtitle:

Nearly perfect, except for the first episode, where there are a lot of letters missing at the end of words, e.g. "Miak" instead of "Miaka".

Comment:

Recommended to everyone who likes long and winding stories that won't fit into single 25 minutes episodes. Note: The cover of my version looks different from the picture displayed here.

Video:

Video is perfect, no pixelation.

Audio:

All audio is perfect on this set. No humming or popping.

Subtitle:

All names are Japanese original. No engrish or misspellings. Great subs!

Almost perfect. I don't know if its the transfer that suffers or just the poor animation that is lacking. I would imagine that its a little of both. The video could be a little better. It is quite good though. I can't find any faults with the audio or subtitles. Get this set!
