Video:
The entire thing looks like a VHS rip. A *BAD* VHS rip. In fast motion, the scenes fall apart. There are dark bands running across the screen in a few episodes, as if there was dirt on the original copy of the video. Video will occasionally speed up or studder during certain scenes. During the commercial animation bumpers ("in-betweeners"), you actually see a portion of some japanese television ads before it suddenly, and jerkingly, cuts back to the show. Honestly, it's a shame that you can only *stream* content more unreliably than what is featured on this 3-disk set.
Audio:
The audio seems to function properly, except in portions where the video is jerking around. The theme songs, sound effects and music are all good, loud, and pretty clear. This is a show that takes pride in it's audio mix, certain aspects of the animation would be missed if your eyes were not searching for the cause of certain sounds in combat.

Comment:
In all honesty, this is quite the disappointment. It'll do, because it's a version of Tenjou Tenge I can take to my bud's house and show him, but it is very reminescant of the days of the 4 hour VHS fansub recordings we all used to buy online.
The packaging is simply INCREDIBLE! I haven't seen or felt a fold-out box that looked, and felt, this solid EVER. It's a shame that the quality of the anime encodes itself are the weak point of this set. A true modern-day tragedy.
