Overall:
Video:
The video was decent for its age, tho I did have physical dvd reading issues with a few episodes.
Audio:
The audio was good. I'm a real fan of the theme song from season one.
Subtitle:
The subtitles were decent with little-to-no errors.
Comment:
The bad points of the series: Each episode is about 12 minutes long. The ending was an absolute disappointment, not resolving anything. In fact, it ended on a climax not relating to the opening plot. I've had a lot of dvd problems with this series, both with the complete and the perfect versions where some episodes wouldn't work. The good points of the series: Took me only 12 minutes to get back to the theme song I love so much. Unfortunately, the theme was changed in season two to something of an angsty-tribal instrumental. I thought the plot was dry, action bad and the comedy stupid. Neoranga is a sad excuse for a mecha series. I'd recommend series like Argento Soma or even Gene Shaft over this.

Video:
The video is very good. Crisp and clear without a single flaw. I watched some of the episodes using a V9 PS2 and others using a PC, no problems with either.
Audio:
Both the Japanese and English audio are good.
Subtitle:
The subtitles are flawless. Sometimes, particularly in the first episodes, they were a little too fast but that was due to the fact that the characters were speaking really fast and the subs had to keep up with it.
Comment:
I enjoyed watching Neo Ranga but it's not one of the best series I've watched. I recommend it to hardcore anime fans, they're more likely to enjoy it to the fullest. The story telling is somewhat unusual but by the end of the 2nd season everything has fallen into place. Overall a good series! The box set is the most beautiful one I've seen so far.
