Video:
IMPORTANT NOTICE: I heard from the place that I bought this set from that a whole shipment of this collection has glitchs on disc 2 (episodes 8,9,10 and 13 are the glitchy ones). So if you get this set and it has a bad disc 2 make sure your replacment comes from a different shipment then from the one you got or get a refund.
Anyway the the over all video quality is good. Though some times there will be horizontal black lines on things that move fast, but much more often then then not even when the action picks up with lots of explosions and fast movement things look clear and animate smoothly.
Audio:
The sound quality is fine. But the english dub especially in the first series is very stiff, if your at all picky you won't like it. Soundtrack gets the job done nothing that good or that bad about it.

Notes*
*There are three series in this collection: Crest of the Stars (13 episodes) Banner of the Stars (13 episodes) Banner of the Stars II (10 episodes)
*The 1 episode prequel Passage of the Stars: Birth is also included. (Look in extras on disc 5)
*This whole collectin is an R1 rip.
* I watched this series on a COBY DVD player (DVD-224 model) with AV cable on a 25 inch RCA TV
The series them selves:
Slow pacing but still interesting. Space ships instead of giant robots for a change. : )
