The video quality of Love Hina: Final Selection isn't as bad as I had anticipated. Although some of the colors did seem to be almost contrasted: many scenes appeared darker or duller than I expected them to be. Of course, you can't always get great lighting when filming a live performance with an almost blacked out auditorium, but the quality could be better. Slight bleeding, but overall, not too bad video wise.

Great sounding music and vocals. For a live performance on DVD, this is about as good and as powerful as it gets. The songs are very well done, and every Japanese word is heard flawlessly. I didn't have to change the volume at all.

Sidenotes: * Watch the Love Hina series first. If you LOVE it to death or are a hardcore fan of good anime J-Pop (specifically Horie Yui), consider buying this DVD. If your impression of it is any less, don't give it a second thought. * A "slideshow/movie summary" of the show at the beginning of the DVD does little but introduce the characters to the audience. It was rather pointless in my point of view. * Did anyone notice how many middle aged MEN are in the audience? Incredible! *laughs* =)

The Final Selection episode looks a little washed out, the colours seem a little dull especially compared to the MI Love Hina set or the R1s. For the live action concert I did notice some colour bleeding. The DVD has quite a low bitrate. An average of 3.16 mbps

This DVD contains the Final Selection episode which is nothing more than a recap episode and a live action concert featuring the seiyuu's of the anime. The concert is about 100 minutes long. Well this one is definately for fans of Love Hina only, don't pick it up if you havent seen the series or don't like it.

Nothing to complain about here, the video looked flawless on my player and it's a cheap Apex. There is abosolutly slowdown or bleeding at all from what I could tell

In conclusion I would say unless you are a die hard fan of the series, I would just stay away from this. The only exception I would say is that if you're not sure if you'd like the series this gives you a good overview of what this anime is about if you don't mind really really bad sub-titles. I tested this on a cheap Apex DVD player and a 19" Emerson TV.

This dvd only has summaries of the tv series and concert of the voice actors of Love Hina. The subtitles are preety bad but understandable. There are misspelled words, bad grammar, and misuse of words. The summary portion of the show is entirely out of the tv series clips so you not gonna be seeing anything new if you saw the tv series. The concert portion is really stupid and doesn't really have anything to do with the Love Hina series itself. Basically this is only for a Die hard Love Hina Fan who wants to have complete collection of the Love Hina series.
