Great Video. I think it was ripped from the R1 DVD.
Audio:
Very good. I only listened to the Japenese Audio Track, because i don´t like the English Dub.

First, let me start out by saying, that if you?re reading this review, because you?ve come upon a copy of this set for sale, and was wondering if it was worth buying, BUY IT NOW!!! (lol) Let me just say, that I have personally purchased the ?Official? box set (with the 8 individual DVD?s, from ADV) 3 times now (looooong story? lol) and in the end, I?ve gotten rid of every one, in favour of this set, as it?s THAT good :) The video quality and colours are as good (or bad, depending on your views of the official DVD?s video quality and slightly dulled colours) as the official DVD?s. And only loses the half point for a very slight (and I do mean slight) bit of pixilation during extremely aggressive motion or crowded picture frame. FYI: I was watching this on a JVC ?i-art? TV, on a Panasonic DVD player, hooked up using component video cables, which REALLY make video mistakes stand out, and the picture looked GREAT. Also, the menus are great, being modified R1 menus (modified only in so much as to add the extra episodes to the episode list, with disc 1 housing 8 ep?s, and discs 2 and 3 housing 9 each, where as the official discs housed 3 to 4 ep?s each). There?s also the profile pages on this set, from the R1 DVD?s (which, other than trailers, was the only extras on the R1 DVD?s).
Audio:
The audio is just as good as the official DVD?s, with 2 channel English and Japanese stereo.

So, if you?re looking to add this series to your collection, then, instead of spending $150 to get the big 8 disc monstrosity that is the official release, then this 4 disc set (with awesome graphics on the gatefold and DVD?s themselves), is the one to get. *NOTE: disc 4 is the movies, but, I would advise that you still pick up the two official DVD?s for these, as this disc does not include the incredibly interesting and informative, commentary tracks that are present on the official DVD?s.
