Video:
Unlike some other reviewers, I didn't notice any colored borders. However, the quality of the video looked worse than that of the previous sets. On the third disc, the picture gets all shaky a couple of times, but only for like one second. Overall, this was not very good.
Audio:
No humming this time, fortunately. The audio seemed alright to me.

Comment:
The second season of "Seikai no Senki" comes as a three disc set, with the first DVD containing 3 episodes each and the fourth containing 4 episodes. That doesn't make sense at all... but whatever. The menus are not as good looking as those of the previous two sets, furthermore there are some nasty typos (what's a "paly all"?). There are no chapter breaks inbetween episodes, i.e. each full episode is one chapter.
Like the first season's set, the DVDs of this box set come in a generic plastic packaging à la Anime Studio, which somehow looks very cheap. As I mentioned in the review of the first series set, the artwork is not consistent compared to the other two sets. Looks like three different series if you put them on a shelf together.
The series itself is great, without a doubt and leaves you yearning for a sequel (which, unfortunately, doesn't exist yet).
Do I recommend this set? Not anymore. There are better sets around - better than this one for sure...
