this is the only film I have felt so connected to that I cried in the first 10 minutes I absolutely love this film. But It is not one I could watch over and over again, but it leaves something to be said for starkness.

Very emotional movie, left me speachless for about 15 minutes afterward.

For a movie that has some years on it already, it does not suffer from the problems that alot of newer releases have near perfect.

This is one of the most emotionally charged tear jerking films I have seen anime or Live action. This film makes you step back and reflect on everything we take for granted in life. I definately rate this as a must have for all anime fans who want to see a very good anime drama.

This movie is quite old. (I think it was first made in 1988). But, even though it's old and grainy, it is a perfect conversion to DVD. Perfect!

I loved the dubbing on this. The Seiyuu weren't too bad either. The sound quality was perfect as well. Once again, this moive is quite old, so it's not up to snuff with the other DVDs out there.

I cried at the end of this movie. It's nice ot see a movie about a war from the perspective of the 'enemy'. It seriously felt bad when the airbombs attacked. There were several scenes that were burned into my head for weeks afterward. One thing I thought was noteworthy was the use of common, everyday things. Like, when he asks his little sister if she has to pee. It seems silly, but adds an unprecedented level of realism. I think everyone should watch this movie. If you haven't seen it, get it NOW! You won't be upset.
