Conan and Heiji become involved in a series of murders, which leads them to a town where they have a mysterious puzzle to solve. Meanwhile, Heiji is remembering something from his childhood which might just be a very important link to the mystery. After narrowly missing multiple attacks, Heiji is in trouble when Kuzuha, his childhood friend, is taken hostage. Weakened from the earlier battle against the criminal, Heiji isn\'t able to save her.
