Video:
yes I must say the video is great, I love the GT series, my nephew has been collecting the original english/funimation dubbs at differant places, and so if you pick this set up and notice that at times the screen just looks like high quality vhs video , I would like to note that his dvds are the same way...
GT may be new here but its actually been around for some time....
Audio:
once again, I must say its great, I love the original japenese opening and closing theme, I dont care for the english opening and closing themes however, my nephew likes the rap theme for the english version of GT, I like the voice actors from both the english and Japenese versions, my nephew prefers the english actors, and I must agree I favor the english actors as well, they sound alot more mature..
in the japenese version some of the macho guys sound girly...but either way they are all good,

Comment:
I love the English GT saga as much as anyone, and I recommend it for anyone who prefers english dubbed sets, However I have to recommend picking up the Japenese set from somewhere for one very important reason, the english releases of GT are missing a whole bunch of episodes, in the english version, you are on planet M withen the first few episodes, you get to see a small flashback of how they meet GIRU (GIRU , GIRU) and everything goes on from there, Now in the japenese Version
(65 episodes, plus one Goku JR. Special episode) they are on earth for aproximately 2-3 episodes, they then go into space, they then have a malfunction with there aircraft and are forced to land, they land the aircraft, they pick up a dragon ball on their radar and decide to look for it, and for parts to fix their aircraft, they bump into our friend GIRU who makes a noise and causes them to drop the radar, he eats it and wa-lah they have a new companion, they then go on multiple many quest in search for dragon balls, and meet weird and interesting people , some who are actually preety cool,
these episodes are reminisant of the original dragon ball series , one reason is because GOKU is a KID
again, the other is the slap happy humor we fans have grown to love, they also give you a better idea of what has taken place before the episodes you only see in the english release, I prefer the JAP
GT series for this reason alone, you get like 10 or more episodes, this explains how they had already
found three dragon balls before planet M even took place.....well no more spoilers...I suggest that if you are a gung-ho fan of anything dragonball/z/gt then you get this set, and the japenese set...that way you can watch the japenese set, and get a little prequal so to speak, then watch it from planet M
to the end on the english set...only one problem if you dont like seeing Gokus bare but then dont watch the jap version, Goku shows his but alot...LOL, oh and it shows his tad-pole once in a while as well,
its pretty humorous tthough...thats all I gotta say, and hope this helps all the GT fans out there make their decision..
