Excellent! Some of the best HK video I've ever seen (and definitely the best for a TV series)! It, seriously, is R1 or R2 quality almost the entire time during the first 2 discs. There might be the slightest, and I mean the slightest, trace of some pixilization during some panning scenes (where the "camera" pans across the screen), but I mean it's so slight, you really can't notice it unless you look. Also, the third disc is a TV rip, but honestly one of the best I've ever seen. It's at least as good if not better than many LD rips I've seen, and even some only quasi-decent DVD rips. DO NOT LET THE TV RIP KEEP YOU FROM BUYING THIS! You will not notice it at all! One other problem is that, on my DVD player, it freezes for about 2 seconds maybe 3 times during the entire series, but this isn't bad because it picks right back up where it left off. HK doesn't get better than this, folks!

I love this series, and I love this set! When I first heard of PataPata, I didn't know what to expect. I mean, I had read Themanime's review of it, and they gave it 5/5, so I knew it had to be good, but I didn't know how good. I also didn't know anything about how good the set was going to be. So, I braced myself for a major letdown, and a set I was going to have a hard time finishing. But, God, could I have been more wrong! This is one of the best, and probably the best, anime series I've watched in a LONG TIME! I mean it's really that good. It's just a classic adventure, but with lots of action, and many sci-fi/fantasy traits. This has everything! It's definitely in the spirit of classic shows and movies like Laputa and Nadia, but it isn't by any means an imitation. It has something for fans of any genre, and I was through disc one in almost 48 hours (and that was with my busy schedule). I'm not joking you all, it's THAT GOOD! And so is this set. In fact, I don't know if it's the series or the set, but this is one of the few times that when I watch this, I don't feel like I'm watching an HK set. Buy this set right now. It's perfect, and the series is honestly one of the best I've ever seen. Get ready for 26 episodes you won't soon forget!
