Video:
TV rip. The first dics (episodes 1-8) are taped on VHS, so you get some small tape-related problems like some distorted lines and some tape glitches. But the TV signal has no disturbances, so it looks decent. I rate this part 3.5/5. The second disc is probably recorded on DVD-RAM, since I spotted no tape glitches etc. But the TV signal has some problems. There are some slight vertical shadows and phantom pictures. And in some of the last episodes everything looked really grainy and "dirty". I rate this part 2.5/5 I've added some more screenshots. The first 10 are from disc 1, the next 9 are from the episode 12 which had the worst video on disc 2.
Audio:
No problems on the first disc, but some background noise on the second disc (probably due to the disturbances in the TV signal). On a side note, the music reminded me a lot of Noir.

Comment:
Judging from the subtitle fonts, I think the first disc is an MI rip and the second disc is an AV rip. This was one of the series I ordered without knowing anything about it. So I was pleasantly surprised. On the surface this is about wandering fighters who challenge the fighters of other cities, but that isn't really important. It's more about the secrets around the main characters. Who is Leyla? Why does she want to fight Volk? What's the secret about Nei, the doll? (Some classical android story - human or still machine?). And although not all questions were answered satisfactory, I enjoyed the melancholic mood of this anime (also reminded me of Noir). I recommend this series, but would suggest to get the MI set because of the better video and use of fansubs. But I haven't seen the other sets, so maybe AV ripped MI's first disc and MI ripped AV's second and then AC-MAC ripped one of those and all sets are the same?
