Comment:

The video, audio, and subs were well done. The storyline is very late into the series. I have only seen the first 24 episodes, but I still followed the movie easily and I do not think that knowing some characters (i.e. the one who invented the drug that shrunk Shinichi) from later episodes will make me not enjoy watching the earlier episodes. If you are a Detective Conan fan then you know that the crimes are self contained. The only other comparison I can make is Lupin III. Even if there is an order to the movies, the storylines are so good that you do not feel left behind.
