The video in this set is how Dragon Ball should be viewed. None of that over colored touch up that Funimation gave their dub. Very crisp and clear keeping the colors and that good old feeling of Toriyama's work back in the late 80's. I have no problems on my 30" TV nor on my 20" TV. You won't be disappointed here. The images are so crisp, take a look at the screenshots I have posted if you want a preview. This is how Dragon Ball Z is ment to be seen.
Audio:
This department would get a 5... The R1's keep the mono sound like Dragon Ball was made... MI chose to make a semi-stereo sound that I think sounds great. Obviously lots of people are into sets that have surround sound Dolby 5.1, but this just isn't one of them. But I assure you... Every kick punch and hit will be heard perfectly. I am highly satisfied with the audio for this set.

Comment:
The tournament is in full effect and is full of entertainment. Dragon Ball cranks up the humor aspect towards the end of their Z series. Through this set you will get to witness Goten and Trunks and their mischief they cause. The start of the Buu series is here! Grab this set.

Very good quality, especially when you consider how old this series is. I was used to TRYING to watch on poor quality avi's, and almost-as-bad VCDs before I got this set, and the quality of the picture almost brought a tear to my eye! I've watched them on both the computer and a stand-alone DVD player and have noticed absolutely no macroblocking/pixellisation at all. I suppose the picture quality is like high-end VHS
Audio:
No problems with the sound whatsoever.

Comment:
Well, the subs are appalling, the amusement value of seeing that little gnome Vegeta referred to as 'Dende' palls quite quickly. (btw, the actual Dende is called Tintin on these DVDs...) BUT these are damned good quality Japanese DBZ - a rarity in the sub world. Despite the subs, I bought the entire set and watch them often, just for the bliss of great quality, Japanese DBZ. I just wish that FX had got their hands on this series first.
