Very VERY good video. I couldn't find any pixilation. the actino scenes looked very well done!
Audio:
I loved the dubbing in this show. Some people (like that little blodne girl) kinda got on my nerves. But, everyone's voices fit them sooooo well. Also, the quality was almost totally perfect!
Subtitle:
The subs were great. They only differed slightly from the English Dub. WIth the Japanese seiyuu, they were right on.
Comment:
This anime was, as has already been stated, a very different kind of Mecha. Most don't really have a real plot, aside from robots that fight. This show, however, was very story driven. There really wasn't anything that I would consider a 'filler'. Also, I loved the use of Shakspear. It really added a kind of atmosphere to the show. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Excellent video , I only saw a very small amount of pixallation on a couple of occaisons, and what there was was hardly noticeable, most high speed action sequences looked amazing. Colours looked alright to me.
Audio:
Sounded really good with a 5.1 soundtrack and made use of it as well.
Subtitle:
Only watched a few episodes subbed, but what I saw looked perfect.
Comment:
Overall a very high quality set, video, sound and packaging, if more hk material continues to be released at this standard then everybody is going to be real happy!! An excellent series as well, some quite creative plot ideas and an interesting look to the mechs. Not quite as gripping as the majority of Evangelion, but on the whole I enjoyed Argento Soma more because even though it was complex it just made a whole lot more sense than Evangelion did. An enjoyable and quite original mech series that, as people have already said, is a little different to most mech shows. Highly recommended to everyone.

No skipping and almost no pixelation. Noticed a little in super dark areas but not a big deal.
Audio:
English and Japanese sounded great to me.
Subtitle:
Subtitles felt like they were from an R1 source. Saw no problems.
Comment:
Not a whole lot to say about this release. Done very well, no complaints. Pretty good series, but a bit slow. The main character in this show is pretty cool but wouldn't putting this at the top of your to-buy-list.

Video:
Excellent quality through out. Picture remained quite sharp in 98% of the scenes including some fast paced aerial fire fights. Quality did dip in one scene in which a massive gravitational ripple effect was depicted in an action scene as there was some minor macroblocking. Secondly, In some episodes the colour was less vibrant but I suspect that was not a ripping problem but rather it was present also in the original R1s. In certain scenes, you can tell it was not drawn by the regular artists and those said scenes were not coloured properly, nor were they drawn and animated very well. Thus, the colour issue is likely a budget problem originally with the show and not the rip.
Audio:
Great Japanese and English audio. No complaints. The dub is actually watchable unlike some shows out there so dub fans should be happy.
Subtitle:
There are good R1 subs on here that are timed and paced perfectly with no lines dropped. I only caught one typo for the entire series. So why did I only give it a 4? It's because some of the subs are hardcoded onto the video. Unlike most shows out there, there's an awful lot of English depicted on the pages and emails shown; in particular the military documents. Thus, the animators have hardcoded the Japanese subs for those English words and sentences for the Japanese audience. Once in a while, you'll get the English subs for the dialogue overlaying those Japanese subs for the English words which makes for messy reading. Fortunately, it's not so overwhelming that it detracts from reading. And it's not a problem at all if you turn off the subs and watch it dubbed, but nonetheless it warrants a mention. Secondly, in the said documents you can clearly see the characters' names are spelled "Inness" and "Symonds" but instead the subs show up as Ines and Simmons. Well, at least the subs are consistent in their mistake and spelled their names the same way throughout the show. =P
Comment:
Chapters are conveniently divided by opening, part A, part B, and ending. So no problems searching when you have to stop watching part way. I've watched this series through on my Philips 727 and it performed flawlessly. No skipping, no pauses, no problems reading the disks etc. Your mileage may vary depending on the hardware you use. I suspect if your player could read other FX disks, you shouldn't have any problems with this set. This is an excellent mech show which takes some typical anime and literature cliches and puts a spin upon it to create an entertaining plot with fleshed out characters, despite it seems that it's just another sci-fi show using the "monster of the week" formula. It does all come together at the end and it is quite a satisfying journey. The ending is one of the best I've seen and few shows come to mind that matches the level of satisfaction in terms of closure that it provides, and it's actually fitting given the theme of the show. Oh, and the opening theme, Silent Wind, is bloody fantastic! It's quite possibly the most haunting opening ever. I would highly recommend this show to everyone.

Video:
the video was perfect in my opinion, there was only a small flaw, every once in a while when a scene changed there would be a pause on the video and audio, very very short pause however, And this never happened during any intense moments of the anime so I dont think of it as too much of a problem....
Audio:
the audio was perfect the only minuscule flaw which I mentioned above was the slight pausing of audio/video between a scene change from time to time...
Subtitle:
Subs were great, as good as they come alomst, everyone likes to say subs are slightly off, this really isnt true when you think of the original source which is japenese, they have a differant dialect then us, so some names/ places sct. may be spelled differantly, like the letter l will be r in japenese..so the subs were fine and timing was never an issue..
Comment:
This was great set, im glad to have it in my collection....the story was differant, and I enjoyed this anime very much, I haighly recommend this anime to almost anyone, even if you do not like like the typical mecha anime, this isnt typical at all and is completely original, a breath of fresh air...

Great video quality on my computer setup. I did experiance a minor skip on disk 3, however it was not major.

Perfect audio. No complaints.

I watched the dub, and only glanced at the subs to test, however they looked fine from what I saw.
Comment:
This is a rather odd, and unique series. It is rather repeditive however. Not one I would recommend watching all at once. It has an interesting end at least. DarkanX's Series Rating: C-

Video:
Pretty good video. It seemed a little dull... less vibrant than I remember the old MI version being. But pretty good besides that. There are other recent R1 DVD rips out that are a teensier bit sharper, but I really have no complaints here.
Audio:
As good as audio gets. Good Japanese and English tracks. Both very clear with no problems that I could detect. I watched the whole thing in Japanese but spot checked the Eng on almost all the episodes. It's all good.
Subtitle:
There it is. Perfect R1 subs. They change font throughout the course of the show, but I'm assuming that Bandai did the same on the original release. Everything's good here. Very readable and well written.
Comment:
I really love this series. I've bought it twice now (MI and now the FX versions). Fun story that's a little confusing at first, but really carries you through to the very end. At first, I was afraid that the video might be screwed up like the FX Noir set, but upon further investigation (meaning "watching the whole durn thing") I see that I was scared for no reason. A good solid release. If you're interested in giant robots, alien invaders, secret world organizations and lots of tricky backstabbings, then this is for you.
