There was a time when humans and youkai lived peacefully in the world of Shangri-La. Unfortunately, one day a burst of energy known as the Minus Wave spread throughout the land, causing the youkai to lose themselves and become berserk. As Shangri-La slowly descends into darkness, Genjo Sanzo, Son Goku, Sha Gojyo and Cho Hakkai are assigned to travel West and put a stop to the experiment which spawned the chaos in the world: the revival of the great demon Gyumaoh. Sequel to Gensomaden Saiyuki, Reload kicks off with a bang as the Sanzo party continue on their journey west. With a new look and feel for the series, some things just seem to remain the same.
