I used a Hitachi 8X DVD-ROM and watched this series on my PC. The video for this series was nice and fluid. No problems whatsoever.

I had no problems with the dvds. On the other hand, the series is more like short stories rather than one long story. There isn't much character development until really late into the series-- not a good thing considering this series is only 13 episodes long. Also, I found the opening theme annoying (thankfully it can be skipped) and early on, the background music annoyed me. Later in the series, however, it didn't bother me, so it was all good. I'd give this series a 2 out of 5. But don't get me wrong.. it's a funny series that just isn't for me. It's just that I like a long story better than many short stories :)

This has to be the best quality I have seen thus far from an import. Region 1 source for sure. Even during very high action sequences I noticed no pixelation or degradation. Very clean and balanced overall. The first disc has 7 episodes, the second has 6.
Audio:
I listened to the Japanese track throughout the whole series, but flipped to the English for a second to see what it was like. I didn't hear any problems with either. The audio appears to be Dolby Digital according to the case. I listened to the series through headphones so I can't really judge the audio too much. Sounded great to me though! No blips or anything of that sort.

Overall, this is a really fun relaxed series. It really is a great break from all those series that are super-complex with various plot twists and the sort. The story revolves around a ronin female samurai (Tsukikage Ran) wandering from town to town living life a day at a time on a whim. She meets a crazy gal (Meow) and they end up travelling together. There is a mix of comedy and action, and there are quite a few good fights. This is a great box well worth the value. Great quality here, really worth picking up if this is your cup of tea.
