Overall:
Video:
great video. a glitch on ep 5 (if I remember correctly) when the image freezes and skips for 2 secs. this said, it looks sooo nice.
Audio:
recorded at very low levels like almost all the old releases by AS. the infamous humming backnoise.
Subtitle:
the subtitles are gorgeous. far from engrish, i believe they ripped them from r1 release, not 100% sure, anyway. maybe they skipped some lines, but nothing really to complain about.
Comment:
Hideaki Anno strikes again! this one starts as an adventure/comedy quite slowly, but after a while you'll be hooked at the tragedy/drama twist. When they were broadcasting Fushigi no Umi no Nadia on Italian tv, I couldn't avoid to wake up at 6 to watch this wonderful serie. great charachters, great developements, art and story. absolutely a masterpiece. -Nice animated menu with the opening in the background. -on the 2nd disc half of the last ep (of that dvd) is missing -only 1 op/ed per disc.

Overall:
Video:
shimmering at times, but the show is old and the original masters can't be expected to be in excellent condition. otherwise very good video quality
Audio:
nothing to complain about
Subtitle:
the usual. email addresses, misspellings, untranslated lines and engrish grammer. but its never undicipherable, which is the most important thing.
Comment:
I really love this series, but its only fault is the very very noticable story arcs. some of the arcs keep you interested (the final one had me watching 15 episodes in one night) and some of the others try their best to bore you to death, filled with filler episodes and what tries to be character development. Other than that, an awesome series, highly recommended you pick it up. (look at the MI version first, that is probably better)
