Video is pretty good-as noted elsewhere ther is pixellation but not enough to really complain about.

Audio:

Very good-no hissing or other dubious noises from either track

Subtitle:

As this is an R1 rip-very good.

Comment:

I found this to be quite involving, I know it's a little old but still a very good watch. From the people behind Video Girl AI- another good series.

The video if this set was not good, there is a lot of pixalation, not only in the fast scenes but also in slow ones. It should had been better since the disc that has the most episodes has 8 and a lot of FX series with good video have 9 eps. per disc. No excuse just bad video.

Audio:

The audio was the best thing of this set, it was perfect. It has two tracks, one english and one japanese, both in 2.0ch. Everything was synchrnized in both language. Very good.

Subtitle:

The subs were almost perfect but in the OVAs (last 3 episodes), text that appear on screen were sub with pure black color just like in "Angel Links" set, so you cant see what it says. No missing lines and everything was in good timing. Standard subs, yellow with black around it.

Comment:

Both discs had extras and previews. Every episode had 6 chapter break (recap, ope, partA,partB,end, preview). This series was OK nothing outstanding, just an averege series, funny at times and serious at other, it was entretaining. If you can get pass the pixalation then you should pick up this set, it definately a unique series, so try something new. I give the story a 7/10.

Considering the fact that this anime was created about a decade ago, DNA2 still does very well to defy time and animation standards. For some reason, I believe the second disc had better quality video than the first, but all in all, the video is nearly perfect. Slight pixelations during intense scenes but other than that, no problem. Perfect R1 rips.

Audio:

Audio is great too. I listened to both the English and the Japanese track (which was higher in volume than the English one), and it sounded great. Stick to the Japanese dubs however, because many of the girls do a horrible job of dubbing (i.e. Kotomi and Saeki).

Subtitle:

The subtitles were very clear as well. Grammatically sound and visable white wording. Minor mistakes here and there, including not translating every Japanese sign (and when they did, it would be black subtitles which were very hard to see (i.e. "100 years in the future" text in the 1st OVA). Also, they didn't translate every word the characters said. Some one word phrases were skipped here and there. But otherwise, great subs.

Comment:

Sidenotes: * The scene selection may be tricky. After selecting "Scene Select", you'll find 3 links (names of the original R1 DVDs). Clicking one of those will lead to menus which break down the 3 episodes within that R1 DVD. For example, selecting [ 7-12 ] will show you the scenes of the 2nd episode of that DVD and selecting [ 13-18 ] will show you the scenes of the 3rd episode of that DVD. I found this tricky to begin with, but gradually got used to the format. * DNA2 is a 15 episode series (12 episode TV series + 3 OVAs). The 2 DVD set includes extras such as previews for other animes, an image gallery, and a preview for DNA2 the series. It's a great series about a guy who's allergic to girls but ends up finding that he's a Mega-Playboy who impregnates over 100 women in the future! The only chance to stop overpopulation is a timetraveling DNA operator aimed for adventure. Enjoy the series.. I did.

Some very minor pixlation in some scenes, like when Junta is transforming into the Mega Playboy and action scenes. Still its a very good R1 rip!!

Audio:

Japanese track was a little louder than the english track but that is normal on almost every set around. Again very good!!

Subtitle:

Perfect Subs from R1!!!. In 2 episodes there was black subtitles that appeared twice but it wasnt part of the dialog, probably saying the names of signs around the scene. Still I saw no typos or miss-timings at all so they were perfect!!

Comment:

This is a fun series to watch. The main character Junta looks like a goddam Dragonball Z character with the hair style and the way he transforms, either it was a rip-off or a spoof of DBZ. Here instead of bleeding the guy pukes, its very funny!! This anime is nothing new or nothing groundbreaking that I would recommend over other animes but its fun to watch and it was worth the $15 I spent. The special features include still galleries and anime previews. I recommend watching it in japanese cause in english it sucks major 300 pound ass!!. Get this series if you want to have 2 or 3 laughs. Its nothing new in the world of anime/comedy but its a nice way to spend the afternoon and this set is perfect!!
