Video:

VHS Ripped right from the game. It pixelated a lot during te fast paced action scenes. The dvd skipped way too much and then before the pond scene. The dvd would not play at all. Cheap piece of crap.

Audio:

The voice overs were too muffled. Background music was ok but the voices were messed up.

Subtitle:

Average HK subtitles, wrong names, grammar. Some of the subs ran off the screen.

Comment:

I thought this set was a piece of sh*t. The video sucks. Disks wouldn' play right. Get the MI version instead. Anime Studio is a shi*tty company.

Subtitle:

The subtitles were Engrish. In some chapters the English subtitles were missing so it was disappointing.

Comment:

I honestly did not get the story at all! ^_^; May be I should buy the official game (it's cheaper now) but I suck at rpgs.

Video:

looked like it was taped of TV. a bit fuzzy and there is aliasing visible, although that's probably due to the source (PS2).

Audio:

it gets the job done. i didn't notice any humming

Subtitle:

engrish al the way. understandable but nothing more. Some thinking is required at times to understand the meaning

Comment:

i bought this one because i didn't want to spend all my money on buying a PS2 and the game. And I wasn't too disappointed. This is by no means an actual anime so i there is no point in comparing it to others shows. it is just somenone who played through the game so you follow the story by means of the CG-movies.
If you want to get this one i'd recommend waiting for the MI-release to see if they did a better job.

Comment:

Basically, they took bits of the game and turned it into a very long movie (roughly 8 hours long) including all the FMVs and other things. So you can see the story without playing the game. The video and audio are alright. They look like they're supposed to. The subtitles are also pretty good. There are some errors here and there and the names are a little off but you will understand what is ahppening. This is a good item to get if you just want to know what happens in FFX and don't have the game (like me).

Hmm video is alright i suppose, its definetly an tv capture. The subs are alright, although the names are wrong for some/most of the characters(but that doesn't really matter to me :) ) Audio is your standard stereo. Also throughout the whole 2 dvd's the anime studio log is displayed on the top right hander corner of the video
