Video and audio are very good - note that only the English track is in Dolby Digital and even if you only have stereo equipment it still sounds a lot better than the Japanese one. That said, I've watched it with English dubs and lived to tell, so it's not that bad. Although its value seems very disputed by various reviews I still think this is a classic. It might confuse you the first time so make sure you watch it twice :) All in one, Ghost in the Shell is really nicely made. The animation is fluid and impressive and the music is quite amazing, well suited to the mood switching from foreground to an non-intrusive whisper. It's got a lot of style which makes it a must have for any serious collection.
