The quality really isn't good. It's unclear, there are borders although this has no borders and sometimes in the upper right corner there appears some logo that might be from some ripping-tool (I'm not sure). The lacking video quality is a major letdown for the whole experience.
Audio:
I don't care much for audio, especially since the video quality here is bad (and I don't recognize any special music and many japanese voices sound all the same to me), but I guess it could be better.

Comment:
I probably would be happier by downloading this series, because such a collection isn't much fun. There are also some TV specials with interviews on the DVD. Did the video quality lack because of those? Apart from that it's the same problem with such a thing like for example on the Lord of the Rings SEE (not anime). I mean, the movies are bad nonetheless, but all those hours and hours of specials let the movies feel worse in the end. It's better not to watch much such stuff. The Anime itself isn't much of a surprise (I'm not all through, though), but is very beautifully done.

The video is pretty clean I haven't seen any pixelation or anything to noticiable. The one thing that stands out is it has two black borders like its widescreen but I don't think it is and theres a sort of fuzz on the left side of the picture that just shows up on the borders nothing to big but if your really looking you'll notice it.
Audio:
Doesn't give you any choices but i thinks its japanese 5.1 its not bad by any means no problems here.

Overall this is a very good rip I don't think its R1 but its good none the less if you want SAC this is probably the best set you can get because the subs are the most accurate and the picture and sound quality don't really matter if you don't know whats going on.

Well I finaly got this set, having already shelled out the cash for the atrociously subtitled, 4 disc version, and like I mentioned in my review of that set, I thought I'd give you the heads up on this one. Firstly, just to verify, even though this set falls under the AC-MAC banner, the set I'm reviewing, is a 3 disc set, with the same cover picture, but falls under the Anime Catroon/Manga Internation banner, as the big green "M" appears, on screen, at the beginning of the discs. Now I'm not all that up on the companies who release this stuff, so I'm going to review this title from my set, which I'm releativly sure is the same set (so keep this in mind as you read, and if you deside to get the set on the strength of this review :) Okay, that said, let's review this puppy :) The picture quality is average, where as the 4 disc version of this title, blew me away, in comparison, this version was pretty bland. Although, in comparison to the fan sub versions that I've got, the picture quality is much better. The problems with the picture quality are that the picture is not crisp, but slightly fuzzy/grainy, with a slight amount of pixilation during accessive action scenes, but that said, the picture quality is still watchable, and better then some of the titles out there.
Audio:
The audio didn't seem to be of any great note.

So, if you're looking to get a good, overall set, from what is out there at the time of this review, then this is a nice little package to consider. Sure that fansub versions are nice, but if you don't have access to them, or, like me, like a more official looking set, then this is the one to get
