Video:
A very nice, very clear video. I noticed no pixelation and other than a layer change in the middle of a scene, all episodes played fluidly on my player. The quality was very similar to many recent FX set's (Fruits Basket comes to mind). There wasn't any apparent "wash-out" which made me very happy while watching it. The series looks like a truly "Perfect Collection" of the Ai Yori Aoshi series.
Audio:
I listened to the English dub audio for the duration of my viewing. The audio had no hisses or distortion. The only thing that annoyed me was Tina's dub actress (I don't like the hayseed Texan accent). I listened to the Japanese audio on each disc for 3 episodes each and they sounded spectacular. I had no problems and it was an enjoyable experience thanks to the great audio quality.

Comment:
Overall this release is a really good one. I enjoyed the series very much and the near perfect quality was the biggest factor. While the first 5 or so episodes set you up to believe that this is a very different series, the rest of the series reminds me of Love Hina mixed with Fruits Basket. Be it Aoi's cute smile and her constant apologies or Tina's loud drunkenness, this series can make you laugh, cry and cringe. Koaru is really Keitaro's foil. He often finds himself in similar situations, but is not beaten down for it. There are several extra's, my favorite being on the first disc, which includes a few previews for other series (after watching the Chobits one, I'm gearing for it to get it's Perfect Collection sometime next year).
*Possible Spoiler*
This is a great series and a great release. I'm happily waiting for the second season to be released and may even pick up the R1's of both season's (Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi is currently playing in Japan).
*End Possible Spoiler Alert*
The other two disc's have the creditless intro's, I fast forwarded through them though, but noticed they had the intro's three or four times in a row, so maybe they're were different audio tracks or they were trying to show the series intro's evolving from creditless to the final product.
