Packaging:
Direct Rip Off of the Anime Cartoon release, just as a white armory case with poor print quality. It suits the show and looks pretty good for the most part, though the ink is pretty cheap looking and the sides are clipped, no big deal though. Nice 2-disc white armory case tho.
Content:
This show is funny as hell for the most part. A doll name May is mistakenly delivered to a young college student who doesn't know what it is or where it came from. Soon people come looking for the doll, many being dolls themselves, and soon take residence with the young guy. It seems stereotypical, and to an extent, it is, but the characters are more than likeable and there is a lot of comedy that follows suit. The ending is also pretty well thought out and throws a good twist into an otherwise good but not overly original premise. Good stuff.
Subtitles:
From the fansubs, see the subtitle shots to see how I can tell :). Overall, pretty good, some episodes are better than others. Episode I is missing a few lines of dialogue during one of the more important scenes, but it's easy to figure out what conspired. The episodes get better as they go until episode 11 where I think original subs may of been used, at least, some wording was weird in it. Overall, however, really good. Also, the typical " "'s from AC/MI Releases are present, and the names are right.
Video:
Nice, theres some occasional breakup, but overall pretty good, I don't believe I saw any logos popup nor do I remember any e-mail addresses (though if you really want to know, drop me an e-mail and I'll double check it.) Pretty nice throughout. Good bit-rate for most of the show and a sharp and colorful picture.
Audio:
Typical 2 ch Japanese Track. Sounds great, there's no break ups, and no humm.
Menus/Chapters/Extras:
Episodic Chapter Breaks with intros only before eps 1, 5, and 9. The menus look outstanding and are well animated. The final Disc in this set includes the much inquired about episode 11, which is subbed, and a mini-special after it, which is not subbed (though still extremely funny.)
Overall:
Good set for a good show. Recommended.
