Comment:

I really like this series. One of very few cooking genre series which I enjoy watching (more so than Cooking Master Boy). It's about how Yoichi, the cook prodigy, masters his culinary skills through endless cooking contests with equally gifted/crafted cooks/chiefs. Yoichi gains friendship and respect by competing against those people. Aside food, this series does introduce Japanese culture via food. Personally I find this anime is unique. Mister Ajikko part 1 involves Yoichi competing with cooks within same neighbourhood or district.
