The video was very good, I really didn't notice any problems. Why not a perfect score? Because nothing in life is perfect.
Audio:
Again, no problems, I only listened to the english dub, don't do subs unless I have no choice.

A very funny series in the Tenchi Muyo mold, I think the english dub isn't the best I've ever heard but not the worst either. I almost always laugh my ass off when I rewatch this. Most definetly worth my time and yours to!!

The video was perfect. There was absolutely no pixelation at all. Also, no fading or bleeding colors. It's a region 1 DVD rip, so the picture was crisp and clear. The Christmas Special did skip for me, but it is probably my DVD player.
Audio:
The audio was perfect also. I only watched Love Hina in Japanese, because the English dubbed version is pretty bad. The voice actors really suck in the dub(I did briefly try the dub out).

I only watched Love Hina in Japanese, because the English dubbed version is pretty bad. The voice actors really suck in the dub(I did briefly try the dub out). Subtitles: 4 out of 5. The subtitles were really good. There were some unsubbed lines though(I took off half a star for it). There was about 4 to 7 lines total. It's really not that bad though. If you pay attention to what's going on, you will understand what they are saying. I also took off half a star because the honorifics were translated. I really can't stand that. It's really hard to see the relationship between characters without them. This is how they did it: -chan was translated to Ms. -kun was translated to Mr. -san was translated to Mr. or Mrs. -sempai was translated to Mr. or Ms. Some people might not find that a big deal, but it really bothered me, so I knocked half a star off of the subtitle rating. Extras: As an extra, episode 25 of the Love Hina TV Series is on the disc. I don't know why, since it was on the Perfect Collection for the TV Series. Content: 4 out of 5. Well, I bought this because I am a huge fan of the Love Hina manga. Before I bought it, I was warned by a friend that the anime wasnt nearly as good, but I still bought it. Well, my friend was right. The anime isn't nearly as good as the manga, but I still think the anime is pretty good(as you can tell by the ranking I gave it). Love Hina tells the story of 20 year old loser Keitaro Urashima, who is trying to get into Tokyo University to keep a childhood promise, who then finds himself as manager of an all-girls dormitory, Hinata House, which was formerly ran by his grandmother. The Christmas Special was really good. I especially liked the way it ended. The only bad thing was the character designs. The Spring Special was very disappointing. Instead of being about Naru and Keitaro, it is now about Shinobu(that's not my problem with it though). Everytime it started to get good and interesting, something stupid would happen, and it started to get bad. The very end wasnt bad, but it couldn't save it. It also had horrible character designs. The specials were good, but it was done a lot better in the manga. Love Hina Again was pretty good. For one, there was a new character designer, so the characters actually look like what they did in the manga. The story did get a little odd at the end of the second episode, but by the middle of the third episode, it was back to normal. I really enjoyed how it ended. I'm pretty sure it was done better in the manga, but it was extremely good. Despite some bad character designs for the specials and making the Spring Specail about Shinobu, this was great. It has comedy, romance, and may be even a slight bit of drama. All in all, it was good. I recommend it. However, if you have read the manga first, you might not like the anime as much as if you had not read the manga first.

The video quality is near perfect; much like it's TV Series' counterpart by Fx (which I believe is perfect). The quality is very clear and vibrant in the three Love Hina Again episodes and the Spring Special; if there where any glitches (pixelation, etc.) in these episodes I didn't notice them. I did, however, notice pixelation in the Christmas Special and Episode 25; particularly in the opening's of the show's. There was major pixelation in the special ending to the Christmas Special. The video quality still deserves 4.5/5 because other than the few areas I mentioned the video quality was amazing.
Audio:
The sound is pretty good. The opening sequence to Episode 25 sounded a little quieter than it did on the 3 Disc Set from Fx. Other than that everything is clear and well synched. Nothing to complain about for both English and Japanese.

Comment:
This is the perfect counterpart to the Love Hina TV Series by Fx. It has the final chapters that conclude the series. Only watch this AFTER you complete the series (or at least until finishing Episode 24). If you have seen the series (including Episode 25) watch in this order: Christmas Special, Spring Special, Love Hina Again. The disc is set-up the opposite (Love Hina Again, Christmas Special, Spring Special, Episode 25), if watched this way it may lead to serious confusion. I love how the menus are set-up: the first screen will have a list of "Again", "Christmas Special" , and "Spring Special". Each one of them brings you to its respective menu where they have "Play", Scene Access", "Setup", and "Extras" (the menus are so colorful and animated!). If "Extras" is selected then it will bring up the scene selection for Episode 25. The only quirk about the menus are that once you select a sub menu you can't get back to the original screen unless you eject the disc and close the tray, but all of my Fx discs do that. What I mean is if on the opening screen you select "Spring Special" then it will bring you to the Spring Special menu, if you hit the "Menu" or "Top Menu" on your remote then it will only return to the Spring Special menu NOT the original option screen. The DVD "box" it comes in is a clear case with a a reversable cover... you can switch between Kanako, Naru, or the whole Love Hina Cast (the original cover). I love Love Hina and this is the perfect disc to top it all off...

Very good and clear. I noticed minor pixialation during very fast action scenes, but this was through a 15" monitor and it wasn't even for a second. Nice details. Looks like R1 rip
Audio:
Very good. Even though I just used the japanese audio for most of it, both the english and japanese sound very clear. The english sounded just a bit lower though, but then the english dub isn't great and not that many people would use it.

Comment:
This set is definitely worth having if you're a die hard fan of love hina, instead having to get the multiple R1 disc sets and paying a large price. I got mine through ebay for $12 with s/h included. Though if you have the FX version of the tv series, you would be just getting a extra copy of ep. 25 or with some sets, the x-mas and spring special.(Mine is with all 25 episodes) The specials are good (primarily the x-mas , but ep. 25 is good too) but the spring special is kind of corny and the OVAs (Love Hina Again) are a mixture of the Onegai teacher ova with the last episodes of evangelion and hand maid may, mostly dealing with who loves who and more fanservice, and a very weak storyline in comparison to the tv series. The style is noticibly different, with mostly everyone having badly drawn bodies and newer hair and clothing styles that make them look even more different than the tv series or even the manga versions. One of Keitaro's friends apperently lost a lot of weight and some people like Seta, and Kentaro only appear for a few minutes in the entire series and others like Mei and Keitaro's friends are in only one episode and are on for less than three minutes.

All rips from R1. (Known because English dub is avaliable for everything.) No blurring or artifacting.
Audio:
Perfect. (The English dub is really pathetic, but that's the ADR writers fault, not FX.)

Comment:
I apparently have a remastered DVD; everything, including *both* specials are taken directly from R1 DVD and include the English dubbing. (The older versions required you to go to the "Extras" section to get to the Specials and Ep 25.) This is a top notch FX release.

Looks like an R1 rip on everything but the spring special, which looks to have come from a high quality source... but not anywhere close to DVD quality.
Audio:
Only listed to Japanese voice version of this. Sounds good from what I can tell.

Well, looks like a straight R1 rip. Mostly very crisp and clean. You might notice a little bit of pixelation during fast action scenes, but it is not something that will bother you too much.
Audio:
Japanese track sounds great! Did not really listen to the english track.

Comment:
The menus are bit weird and not very well organized. The root menu is essentially a rip of the Love Hina Again menu. To find the specials and episode 25, you have to choose "special features". This is a great title and a great bargain to complement your Love Hina collection, if you only have the TV series (episodes 1-24). However, If you own any of the specials and/or the Love Hina OAV "Love Hina Again", then you might be feeling a bit sad seeing you could have picked up everything else in this one release.
