Video:
The first disc, which has Appleseed and Diminion Tank Police, was a mixed bag of video quality, where as both sources seem to be from the U.S. Manga DVD's, Appleseed looked more like it was taken from a VCD source, as there is some nice brake up, during any sort of pan/action, but not too bad during stationary shots.
Where as the Tank Police, looked pretty much like a slightly compressed rip from the U.S. Manga sourse, with just a slight bit of motion brake up, but nothing that stands out as badly as the Appleseed motion brake up.
***Note that on the second disc (which I didn't watch, but put on long enough to check out the main menu) there is a list of the three movies preasent on that disc, which you can curser through, to get to the movie you want, BUT on disc one, there was no such menu, instead what I got sent to was the Appleseed's sub menu.
So here's the secret trick to getting to the Tank Police's sub menu (which makes little sence, but hey, what do you want for 14 bucks, logical menu set ups? Pa-lease... lol):
you curser up to the Appleseed logo, which will light up green, then press the enter key, and poof, the elosive Tank Police sub menu (Ta-da...! :)
And to switch back to the Appleseed sub menu, you curser up to the Tank Police logo, which will light up green, and press the enter button, and wala, you are back to Appleseed.
It's almost like they tried to make the Tank Police, and easter egg, but no worries, it is there (I say no worries, because I sort of paniced at first, having sold all of my R1 discs (other than Ghost In The Shell, as the R1 version has 5.1 Dolby and a 30 minute making of, not included in this set) to be replaced with this nice little package, and wanted to see if the Tank Police "Movie", consisted of all 4 eps of the R1 disc, at 160 minutes (which, it does :) but then I put on the first disc, and can't find it, and my first thought (other than, I'm gonna need to repurchase Tank Police again!!!... lol) was that they hadn't put it in the set, or, had cramed it onto the second disc, which would have been a compresion nightmare. But no, luckily, it was just hidden, and took me a couple of minutes to sort it out :)
So there, now you don't have to sort it out, as I've sorted it out for you (there should be a medal for that :)

Seems to be a mixed bag as well.

Comment:
If you own the R1, U.S. Manga versions, don't be as stupid as me and sell them for this, but if you don't own them but want them but don't have the money to spend on the 5 seperate titles, and aren't all that picky about video quality (as long as it's watchable) then this set's for you.
