Video:

Video 5/5 A perfect DVD rip. The video for this release actually looks better than the R1 release. The menu's are in Chinese, but they can easily be navigated through. There is one scene where pixelation is noticeable...the 2nd OVA the first time Akira changes to Devilman is pretty pixelated for a single second. I'm still giving it a 5 though.

Audio:

Audio 5/5 Japanese only. Sounds great with my Dolby 2.0 surround sound setup. Audio seemed perfect.

Subtitle:

Subtitle 3.5/5 Mostly understandable, but there were a few strange parts. Some of the names are wrong also. A few words are mispelled sometimes.

Comment:

Even with the mediocre subtitles this release is better than the R1 version in every way. The video is a lot better than the R1 release. There is tons of arm ripping, face stomping, head crushing action that we expect from Go Nagai's horror animes. Every Devilman fan should own this, it is Devilman at his greatest!

Video:

Awesome video!!! Most likely this is a rip of the new r2. Colors look nice and vibrant!

Audio:

I don't have a big audio setup, but I didn't notice any problems here.

Subtitle:

The subs could have been better. Some weird sentences and mispellings. You will have no problem following the story.

Comment:

This DVD contains two OVA's. This, in my opinion, is the best Devilman anime. Great story and lots of blood and gore! If you have seen these 2 OVA's before, you will no problem following the story.
