Overall:

Video:

All episodes are TV rips ~ distribution is 9/9/8 over 3 discs. The video quality is quite good though for a TV rip, not much ghosting. However, there is a fair amount of pixellation in the action scenes, but I didn't find it too distracting.

Audio:

Standard stereo Japenese track is the only one available here, and it does the job just fine. Just a small amount of background hiss ~ nothing to worry about!

Subtitle:

This is where the set is let down ~ there's always got to be a drawback! Ah well... There are 3 subtitles: English Chinese and Spanish (although, the 2nd disc in my set didn't have the Spanish subs ~ I was distraught ~ but it's something for those who rely on Spanish subs to think about before buying!) The translation was very patchy. During this set, I learnt some English words that I'd never heard of before! This was quite funny really, especially when words were sorta combined together to make interesting hybrid words. The names of characters were sometimes spot on, but other times they were completely different ~ even in the same episode ~ which was plain confusing. The sub font changed on one of the discs, and with it the translation slumped to a new low. It made it a chore to follow what exactly was going on. I think these were the worst subs I've yet to see.

Comment:

If it wasn't for those dire subs, this would be a cracking little set! I really enjoyed this show, the animation was great and it had an interesting story. Still, it'll do until the dubbed version is available!
