i have to disagree with previous poster. i already check the serial number on the bos, it surely the same one as posted on the first page. the video quality is rather in mixed bag, have you seen 3D games that was't anti aliased ? yes the same thing can be seen here, even on still scene, i don't think its combing, its just the edge looks jaggies, more of a resizing issue. macro block i do see,onl during high motion scene, like miroku's kazaana scene, which is always known for its high motion. also there is a lot of wind, tornado effect. on pan and scan, or other fast motion scene, like inuyasha pursuing, running, no blocks were sighted, at least on first view. i'll post some screen shot later.

Audio:

it would be nice if i have the speakers for 5.1

Subtitle:

relatively good, but all of the poems wasn't translated except for the first one, which is a bad thing for me as i'm a fan of such thing. on the other hand i should look it up the profesionally translated.

Comment:

actually, there is an official release in my region, but it is 2 disc, the other disc is cd drama, seen the opening, it looks much better, at least also, on first view.

This is a very good dvd! Video was very EXCELLENT. No problems suffered in this category at all. It can not get any better than this. No pixels, no anything! Crsip and sharp! WIDESCREEN COMPATIBILITY!!! OMG the quality just rocks man!

Audio:

Audio is pretty kick a$$ as well. No real problems here what so ever. I believe this dvd is dolby surround compatible. Overall, I loved it! ^_^

Subtitle:

No real problems with suntitling. A few lines have grammer, mis-spelling. Main problem however was some engrish, mis-translation, and timing but like I said, nothing real to mess the enjoyability of having this dvd set.

Comment:

This dvd OWNS!!! It' really cant get any better than this other than subtitling fixing but other than that, it is a solid dvd! Very well worth the money. Menu isn't really in english however. Mainly japanese or whatever. Nothing that would ruin the dvd at all. RECOMMENDED!!!

R2 rip, very nice with no flaws or pixlation.

Audio:

Japanese 2.0 and 5.1,perfect.

Subtitle:

Great fansub quality.Minor time issues in a couple of places but no big deal. Also there was 4 spots where there wasn`t any subs. I don`t feel it took anything away from the story.

Comment:

This is for the MI version not the MAC version which isn`t out to my knowlage.Good story but not great.Safe buy for Inuyasha fans.

R2 rip, no problems at all. No macro blocking even during high motion scenes (none that I can notice anyway)

Audio:

5.1 ch Japanese soundtrack available, didn't try out the 2 ch track but 5.1 rocked all the way without a hitch.

Subtitle:

English Fansubs, however I thought the translations were a bit loose at certain spots. Definitely a lot better than a normal HK translator quality though.

Comment:

The only extras that was included is the preview for Inuyasha Movie 3 (milk more $$?). This was because of everything being put onto a DVD-5 so compromises had to be made, most of the extras were taken out to ensure vid&aud quality remains true to the original transfer. As for the story itself, those who have seen the 1st movie will know what to expect. It's basically like a 4 episode filler story strung together with better animation and sound quality. Worth a look if you're an Inuyasha freak but you're not missing out on anything important by not watching this. The version I am reviewing is the MI version which should be identical to this one.
