Looked great in my GE DVD player and DVD-ROM drive. It is a classic release, so don't expect state of the art technology. This is a rip. The menu is straight-forward.
Audio:
I watched this title with Japanese audio and subtitles on. However, there is an English dub present for your amusement. The audio sounded great in stereo to me, you could hear all the voices and effects clearly.

Comment:
Packaging: Rather dark and gothic mood for the front of the DVD case, and a description in English along with some screenshots on the back. Fan Service: There was a nice amount of fan service and nudity in this title. Nothing near hentai title levels, but I certainly appreciated it. This is a classic title, I remember watching it way back in the day dubbed on the Sci-fi Channel and Cartoon Network. It was funny watching them on TV back then because each network edited out different stuff, Sci-fi with mainly nudity and Cartoon Network the really gory stuff (as my memory recalls it, I may be wrong). I saw a VHS fansub of the Japanese version while the rights to this title were up in the air. Finally, I get to see a HK DVD version of this title. I never seem to get bored of watching it every few years because it is very much a classic. Overall, I would highly recommend this set, it is a very entertaining and classic title. (Did I mention that it had some nice panty and nudity shots?) I think it might be one of those titles that every "collector" should have on their shelves.

Excellent release, unfortunately the content is fairly ludicrous, the animation bad by pretty much any standards (the box artwork looks so much better!) and I don't remember anything about the soundtrack. I find it hard to compare it against anything, as this is boring unlike any other anime. Maybe "Darkside Blues" is along the same lines of atmosphere and general carelessness and confusion, but that one is - albeit completely uninteresting - more intriguing than this one. Here there's no question about what's going to happen, the first 5 minutes are enough to guess the plot and the ending. This is not a challenge, it would take anyone about 45 seconds to explain the plot with reasonable degree of detail. There are tons of much better stuff on this site, be warned about this one!

The movie was pretty originally, and even prettier on dvd! Some of the best video out there! It is up there with Macross: Do You Remember Love: PErfect Edition (Which, in my opinion, has the BEST video of ANY HK dvd.) Other than one scene, in which there is a small bit of... overall "darkness", it is one hundred percent perfect.
Audio:
The audio on here migtht be better than the audio on the R1 disc. The R1 disc probably deserved a 4/5 because it WAS a tad bit quiet. Somehow, I think the whomever did the HK dvd (AC? FX? I'm not sure.) improved on the sound quality.

Comment:
Many people say this is an R1 rip. I am in total agrrement. I see NO difference between the two of them at all. (Sadly enough, I own them both... -_-;;; Somebody kill me... -_-;;;;) COntent-- (6/5) This is one of my favorite anime of all time. A classic all in it's own, and I would suggest you buy the HK dvd, or the R1 dvd. They are both of perfect quality, and they are both featuring the same spectacular film.
