So good! The animation is very fresh, original, and smooth. The only problem I found was that in the earlier episodes I noticed some vertical shadows. Not so bad because they?re practically unnoticeable. They don?t seem to be present later on. Other than that the animation is just as good as the R1?s. Some of the best quality that I?ve seen in an HK.

Story: Steel Angel Kurumi is a very entertaining story of Kurumi, a steel angel (beautiful android built by the military), her sisters and her master Nakahito. Kurumi is the first of a new type of steel angel who?s equipped with a Mark II heart, more powerful and combines science with mythicism. Everyone wants her but she only obeys Nakahito, who became her master by accidentally awakening her with a kiss. Join them and experience one wild trip. Content: Suggested 17+ Some adult humor, typical ecchi nudity (top and backside nudity), and violence are all present in Steel Angel Kurumi. Although it looks fun and playful it definitely isn?t for kids. Menu?s: R1 rips with less animation (gears are still on the HK?s, on the R1?s they spin!). The episodes are listed on the main screen along with ?Play?, ?Scene Selection?, ?Extras? and language options. No music in the background and they?re hard to navigate: you have to keep pressing down to go to the next column of episodes instead of just pressing over to get to them quicker. Packaging: MAC two disc packaging... meaning it?s very small and not really a gatefold. The two discs are facing each other instead of a gatefold setup. The package is very detailed with pictures of the steel angel?s (Kurumi, Saki, and Karina). The package has a synopsis on the back with a couple of screenshots and language information. Opinion: Steel Angel Kurumi was a ?fun and addictive? series. I recommend a viewing at least. If you liked Mahoromatic you should definitely give this a try. This set includes the 24 episodes (~ 12 minutes each) with four OVA episodes on two discs.

It is a rip of the R1 DVD's. So you get excellent video with the exception of some pixelation. It is especially noticeable during high action battle scenes. But it's not any worse than most R1 rips turn out to be and definitely does not detract from the enjoyment of the show.

The set contains 24 episodes plus 4 more Encore episodes. Each of the episodes are about 15 minutes long. They are contained on 2 DVD's which come packaged in a thin gatefold that when folded up is about the same thickness as 1 standard DVD case. There is not much to speak of in terms of extras. The only extras included on there are some clean opening and closing sequences. I love this series and think it is one of the best dubs of all time. The series has a great mix of action and comedy. The last few eisodes have a somewhat darker tone to them than the rest of the series, but the encore episodes do a great job of bringing back the lighter mood that was present for the majority of the series. I would highly highly recommend this series to anyone. Be careful though since you might end up marathoning it all in one sitting. Only thing to be concerned about is that there is some nudity present in virtually every other episode. So I would not recommend this to show to a younger sibling or anything like that.

In my sitting of this particular anime I did notice many instances of minor pixelation but nothing that would readily detract from the viewing experience. The video has nice vivid colors that tend to bring a sense cheesy cute happiness. The video is by all means good quality and does dissapoint. the cuteness factor livens up the screen (cough Sarcasm cough) Overall the Video excellent quailty. Good stuff!

Um wow this movie was cute. From the opening song to the consistantly cute outfits the angels wore. I'm a man so I thought sexual interests in the series were amusing. i guess I'd recommend this series to people that like the romantic, ocassianally lesbian romance, anime series. This anime was a little to cute for my tastes but that just me. The girl I watched this loved it but as we all know men and women do think differently. I'm not saying didn't enjoy the movie, cough lesbians love cough, it had its moments. Unless you have prior engagements sit down and enjoy this little comedy for all it's worth.

A really great series! I thought it looked cute, something for my sister, but it has nudity (non-sexual though) and some sexual humor (Saki is sexually attracted to her "sister" Kurumi and an older woman wants little Nakahito). Overrall, it's definitely worth the money. The series goes by pretty fast (each episode is 15 minutes each) but it really works to the show's advantage. The opening and ending themes are catchy and my friend and I are still humming them. This set also includes Encore, 4 episodes showing events after the end, but not essential to the story. Three episodes focus on each of the Steel Angels (Kurumi, Saki, and Karinka) and the last one focuses and Nakahito. The series is fun, funny, and you will probably watch it over and over. ^.^
