Based on Ashinano Hitoshi\'s long-running manga series, \"Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou\" (\"Record of a Yokohama Shopping Trip\"), this OAV series, subtitled \"Quiet Country Cafe\", is about a young girl who runs, well, a quiet country cafe called \"Cafe Alpha\", in a futuristic Japan where alot of low-lying areas became permanently flooded, and where Mount Fuji is bereft of its trademark snow at the top of its peak. Following a typhoon, which destroyed the cafe (but kept the adjoining house intact), she went off travelling too see the sights, and to find herself.
