Picture was great, it was a little dull but thats probably because its an old series, but still is amaizing.

Audio:

Cudnt find any faults

Subtitle:

Only used the subs a little just to find out what the jap voices of the character were like. All seemed fine.

Comment:

Everything was awsome. The series is one of my fav gundam series's. One thing to point out was some of the chapter breaks were a little of, and this for some reason kinda got on my nerves. Really Gripping series. Great buy a must get for all gundam fans.

The video seemed absolutely perfect to me. I wrote the previous without watching the last disc. (stupid) On the last disc I did get extremely bad skipping on one of the most important episodes in the series! Other than that it's almost perfect. The occasional skip but nothing troublesome.

Audio:

Again, just excellent.

Subtitle:

I watched the series in English throughout but I did turn on the subtitles a few times to test them out. they matched up almost exactly to what the english voice actors were saying every time.

Comment:

This is a great series. It looks a little kiddie and they do have stupid special moves like "Shining Finger" or "Burning Erupting Finger" (these bothered me when I saw a few eps on CN) but if you can get past that it's actually a pretty good grown-up series.

The video on this was was very good, it was clear and very crisp. Its an old anime so the animation and colours were not fantastic but unless your really picky then this will be fine for all but the die-hard digitally enhanced fans. The reason it did not get a 5 is because on 1 or 2 scenes I had some wierd chugging along with freezing and then starting again every few seconds. This only happened to me about twice so it might be my X-box which has been acting strange lately, oh and the opening and closing chapters are slightly out of synch too, but thats not really a problem for me. Oh and some fantastic cover art and menu's.

Audio:

This audio was fine for me, no problems whatsoever. Again I'm not a die-hard surround sound home cinema kind of person so the audio was all fine, loud, and crisp to me. There is an english and Japanese track on this set which is good. I've listened to the Japanese track which I think is really high quality voice acting, that especially suits mecha anime. I've only listened to the english track a bit, not as good as the Japanese track but it seemed ok to me, not to annoying or anything like that.

Subtitle:

Perfect, this is an R1 rip and an FX set so this was to be expected. R1 quality, basically perfect. There are a few ultra small flaws such as when Domon is talking about his brother he says "Oniisan" which means "older brother" but the subtitle says "Kyoji". But that is just something really small that tends to be in alot of R1 stuff.

Comment:

I've watched the first 3 disks so far and I think its great so far. It's a really good series and I'm glad I picked this Gundam series to properly introduce me to the series as a whole, this is much more my style than the suicidilly boring "War in the pocket" that I have. I'd recommend it to any fans of giant robot stuff or any mecha stuff.

Awesome, flawless video, absolutely perfect. I was mega impressed at how good it looked on all 6 discs, one of the best HK sets I've yet seen, an excellent example of how it should be done. Superb menus and even extras. The only reason it doesn't get 5 is because the chapter breaks were 1-2 seconds out on the first 3 discs.

Audio:

Decent stereo soundtrack that sounded superb, no problems at all. Clear and well defined.

Subtitle:

The few episodes I looked at seemed to be fine, very, very few errors.

Comment:

An excellent set. The packaging is superb, other HK companies should look at how FX do their packaging and follow suit. You get two 3 disc gatefolds that are housed in a slip case and it looks awesome. An excellent series that is abit different to all the other Gundam series out there and makes a very refreshing change. The fighting Gundam storyline is I'm sure more than a coincidence to the fact that Streetfighter 2 and other games of that nature were very, very popular at the time G Gundam was created. When I first saw screenshots of G Gundam lI thought it ooked a bit childish but I was so wrong, the story line is very adult orientated and is very deep as well. The plot keeps you gripped throughout the series and it builds up to a great ending. I highly recommend this set, I give 5 stars overall1 Gundam Fight All Set......Ready.......GO!!

yes the video was overall , pretty good...this is an old anime and was not ever digitally enhanced so i cant really say that there are any problems, the picture was crystal clear, it was definately dvd quality just from the original source which was not a digital source...so I have to say its worthy of a five, looks better then it did on Cartoon network that is for sure, no pixelation on my disc, and that was on a 36" widescreen HDTV...I also played this on my generic dvd/vcr combo from symphonic $80.00.. and had no disc read errors whatsoever , no skipping, no image distortions nothing , played flawlessly and looked flawless through and through...I mean its clear its just not like s-cry-ed quality due to the age of the anime itself...I am a really picky person and I must say its all good...

Audio:

now sound was great exept that it is a little quieter then it should be, but a little juice on the stereo fixes the problem easily , if you do not have a stereo, but your TV has audio outputs, you can go to any radio shack and pick up an adapter so you can plug audio cables red/white into a pc audio input jack and you can make your audio from the tv come through your pc speakers with the computer turned on...its easy as that, but dont let that freak you out, the sound isnt that quiet, I watch it at night with only my TVS sound and its as clear as day but it is quieter then a normal tv show or dvd, this is a common thing, almost all the HK disc are like this and its almost unnoticeable , like I said im picky, anyway, the english dub is excellent, I love the english voice actors, once again its all good..

Subtitle:

ok this would be a 5.0 the subs are good but not great, there isnt really any problems except that things in the subs are worded differantly then what they are saying, its almost the same just minuscule differances in the way its phrased, reason this is , reason this is is because the english subtitles in the english dubbed version are exactly the sAME as the japenese version, so when watching the jap audio w / eng subs its almost perfect i know this because I know japenese, and when watching eng dubbed version you see the japenese phrases ...anyway, both japenese and english versions were a joy to watch...

Comment:

overall I loved this set , there were no problems really what so ever... the packeging was really cool, you get a nice art box along with 2 three discs sets each in the typical open gate boxes, the artwork is beautiful in my opinion, For this price you simply cant go wrong a six discs set for that price,awesome.. I am completely happy with this set....there are also some good previews on each disc...

For the most part the video quality was really great, it seemed like it was a tad grainy at times, but no doubt the age of this series has a hand in that. Very minor pixelation was noticed during the third disc during episodes 22-24 but these were extremely heavy action scenes. Overall, excellent video quality.

Audio:

Nothing wrong here, I listened to the Japanese and English track and I didn't notice anything wrong.

Subtitle:

I thought they were awesome, it wasn't the dub script, it was an actual translation! Timing was great, no grammar mistakes at all. I could read all of them really easily.

Comment:

This is a great set! If you like the over 9,000 Gundam series out there(slight exaggeration) and you're looking for something a little different you might want to pick this up. I thought it was fun and a nice change from some of the more serious Gundam series. By the way, this takes place in an alternate timeline from the other Gundam series and these events happen in different universe and don't have anything to do with the others.

Great quality. It seemed more like vhs quality but was great. There may be alittle pixelation here in there but nothing that takes away from the set.

Audio:

Your normal 2.0 japanese and english tracks. Both tracks alittle soft but almost no sets meets my standard for rich audio.

Subtitle:

Nice light bluish silver subs. They are small and out of the way. Not to much engrish. A few typos nothing bad.

Comment:

Great set. Worth the money, would recommend it to anyone.
