Overall:
Video:
4.5 - Is great except for the lines every now and then. Great otherwise.
Audio:
5 - great audio. Very good rips here ^_^
Subtitle:
4.5 - Fansub rips until the last 6-10 episodes, but from what I've seen, are understandable. The subs themselves are visable, and are timed well.
Comment:
Video 4.5/5 - Great video, except the lines every now and then. Very good quality nevertheless. Has openings and endings. Audio 5/5 - Great audio. Very good even at high volume. Subtitles 4.5/5 - Is great, fansub rips, until the last 2-3 episodes when the turn to hk originals. Even when they change, though, they are still understandable. There is one point when the sentence was supposed to be translated to "great", and they changed it to "tastey", but that was understandable if you knew that was the literal translation. Overall - Great set. This is only the first part, and I look forward to the second one if it is the same quality as this one. If you like Sayuki, or are wanting to watch it, this set it great.

This is a rip of the AC/MI release, and just like the that version it is very good. The video and audio are very good, the only problem being that in places where there are lots of vertical or horizontal lines on the screen it looks a bit weird... I don't realy have a better term for it, someone with more technical knowledge might be able to explain it better. For the majority of this set the subs are fansubs, and as such are excellent. Near the end of the set (last 2 or 3 eps) the subs become HK orignals, and not suprisingly this causes the sub quality to drop. Its still not bad, but its no longer perfect english. But still, overall this is still a very good set. edited by gummi on 03 Mar 2002 1:00 am edited by gummi on 05 Mar 2002 4:15 pm
