Reviews for Martian Sucessor Nadesico TV Perfect Collection
Video:
Audio:

Overall:

Video:

Disc 1: Video was excellent, images were clear with crisp edges and bright colours. No pixallation or other flaws. Discs 2 & 3: Oh dear, pixallation during nearly every battle scene and really bad in places too. The overall quality was worse than disc 1 as there was a constant graininess throughout. Looked rubbish. Scene select menus wre a nightmare to use as well.

Audio:

Audio was fine no problems, but I have marked it low so the review has an overall low score.

Subtitle:

R1 subs, no problems. Score ditto above.

Comment:

Nadesico has some nice animation and excellent battle scenes as well as being genuinely funny, but the really s**t quality of discs 2 & 3 ruined all the action (it was so bad in places that it hard to see what was going on) and spoiled the set. I expect a little pixalltion but not this. I have since sold this set on and bought the R1 box. Don't bother!!

The video was very good but had very little pixalation (hardly noticible). Very clear as a dvd should be, very please with it. VERY GOOD!

Audio:

The audio was perfect. It has 2 tracks one english 5.1 and one japanese 2.0, everything was in sync in both tracks, not too loud neither low. PERFECTION!

Subtitle:

The subs weren't bad but the only problem is that when two people were talking the subs were the same color and you have troube trying to know whos saying what. Everything was translated even all the text that appear on screen. No lines were missing and no syncing problems. Very Good!

Comment:

This series is very funny & quite entertaining, comedy in space no extraordinary but worth watching. The set has no extras, 5 chapter breaks per episode (ope, partA,partB,end, preview) and very nice menu. All in all this is a great set to add to your collection or at least watch it. Highly Recomended. Equipment used: Apex AD-1110W, Daewoo 20" TV

Very clear, found almost no faults with this, any faults are negligible for a set of this price, anyone who has a problem with tiny errors on screen during fast movement etc on any DVD set should get the official thing the moaning twonks.

Audio:

Clear and sharp both Japanese and English. Perfect - although as its a rather old series sound buffs won't get 5.1 surround sound but hey it's an anime not the cinema man!

Subtitle:

Fine no real problems with this whatsoever that I can see, not Dubtitles which is good but doesn't include subs for the english track - ie for hard of hearing, not a prob for me as i watch it subbed rather than dubbed anyway.

Comment:

A great and Classic series, boardcast on TV in the US quite commonly a staple series. Very good for the price as well.

Nice crisp clear (daim i sound like a broken LD :) ). There where only a few instance's when i same some very small macroblocks when you had a big flash of light on your screen, but when i mean small, i mean SMALL ... I'm a stickler for details, and on a 17" TFT you can see those things with a trained eye ;) I think 95% of the people wont even notice it (and the TV watcher shure as hell won't notice it :) ).

Audio:

2ch Eng 2ch Jap 6ch eng (about 8 times??? - must be something with zoom player reporting it so many times) I used the 2ch Jap audio, and it was nice clean & crispy ..

Subtitle:

Nice yellow font. I just finished all eps, all line's are there, nice & perfect ... The only thing that bother me a bit was when you have 2 or 3 people talking at the same time, you can have up to 6 line's up your screen ... This is not the fault of the rip, becouse this is something you will also find in the R1 DVD's ( Gasaraki also had the same problem; if you like to call it a problem). I noticed 0 missing line's & 0 out of sync line's.

Comment:

The only thing that wories me was that on disk 3 at some point, my disk stalled for a sec of 2 ... but this may not be the fault of the disk, sinds i accidentaly cut into the disk when opening the package *woeps* :D

Great video. Has slight pixelation during close up fast laser fighting scenes.

Audio:

Your normal 2.0 dual track. The eng dub track is slightly softer but not much at all.

Subtitle:

I watch stuff dubbed but i still had this on. They seemed fine. Really good subs.

Comment:

No extras. Has a really cool looking box.
