its a tv rip, but its really good. i didn't see anything wrong with it. The animation in this show its really good. the action scenes are amazing.

Audio:

the audio is stereo 2.0 and its really good. the intro song for this anime it's very crazy and i love some of the music that sets the mood for the fights

Subtitle:

usually when i watch hks ,i'm waiting the see really bad subtitles because i had some bad experiences before, but this dvd is nothing bad it all. If you are thinking its going to be perfect you are going to be dissapointed though because there's a few mistakes here and there that you should know most hks have; like change names, sometimes the timing its a little off. Overal this set has great subtitles.

Comment:

i love this anime. it has a great story and its very appealing. like i said before the animation its amazing, sometimes even breath taking. this is an anime that it's probably go for long. almost for one hundred sixty or seventy episodes, and it only gets way better from here. Don't be dissapointed of the first episodes, because after those cute introductory episodes the most amazing anime in a long time it's awaiting you. you are going to love it.

Good picture quality, however this is a TV rip! But it's still good, in my opinion!

Audio:

I dunno about you guys, but the audio is good for a TV rip! There's nothing necessarily wrong here from what I collect. Nice Audio!

Subtitle:

The subtitles have good timing, and the grammar is fair. However...I hated the fact that their names sound different on these subtitles, and the fact that there is some engrish present. Here are some of the names that were changed for the subtitles: Hatake Kakashi - Kageki Kakashi Momochi Zabuza - Todou Zaibuzan Haku - Shiro Tazuna - Dazina/Tatsuna Gato - Kado Inari - Yunari/Younari Gaara - Aira Hinata Hyuga - Hinako Neji Hyuga - Ninji Rock Lee - Lerock/Lee Rock Tenten - Tein Uzumaki Naruto - Uzumaku Naruto Kabuto - Kusuriya As for the rest of the characters I didn't mention, their names were spelled correctly! You know who they are (Sasuke, Sakura, Konohamaru, etc.). As for translations, they sometimes translate "urusai" into something like "you're so noisy" instead of "shut up", "kawaii" translated to "lovely" instead of "cute", the term "Chakra" into "Chakula" or "Chakura", "Makimono" into "book" instead of "scroll", and so on. But some of those words can be correctly translated at times. As for the engrishy parts...well here's a small spoiler on the 2nd episode, "I am Konohamaru" (translated "Konohamaru" in this set): After a short fused argument between Naruto & Konohamaru, Naruto went out for a walk and realizes that Konohamaru is following him with bad ninja stealth techniques. After he turned around and yelled at Konohamaru, the subtitles would translate "Your hiding art is sucks"...or something like that. The subtitles are okay, but some of the translations and names suck badly. But other than that, it's very easy to understand what's going on!

Comment:

Naruto is a great series, and this boxset is the one to own! Despite the flawed subtitles, and the undeniable fact that it's a TV rip, this one's a good choice overall. Despite saying that, I'll be waiting for a better Naruto DVD release to arrive in a few years or sooner. But for now, this is what I suggest!

TV RIP but a good one

Audio:

Not bad for a TV RIP.

Subtitle:

Got to be HK originals. So far one name is wrong HAKU was name SHIRO.SHIRUNGAN art was named RINGAN.Also SHUT UP! was change to YOU ARE SO NOISY! like G-Gundam.Letter's are big yellow fonts and readable.Still not bad.Subtitles doesn't take away anything from understanding what's happening.

Comment:

I just finished watching this set right now. It's awesome. It got a lot of action and comedy. Is all about a kid who wants to be the best and be reconized on his village. The other kids got the own story on why they wanted to become ninjas. They got cool battles and is not a series that you'll be bored.Well now to start on set 2.Recomended to anyone.

some pixelation which is noticable but not enough to get on your nerves, mostly noticed it during opening theme songs.

Audio:

crisp and clear

Subtitle:

some typo mistakes but the usual not many though, maybe a few missing lines, and some sentence where you gotta think a bit before you actually get what they were trying to say

Comment:

This is actually a great series! In this series you'll find it very intriguing, especially what surrounds the past story of Sasuke, Kakashi and Naruto, along with their special abilities and situation. Along with Naruto's pranks here and there, I got lots of laugh viewing the part 1 and now I can't wait for the next volumes to come out. They're indeed some fighting scenes which are so very cool. Plus if you like Ninja's and different techniques they use by clans this is a must have.
