Video:
The biggest problem I had with the video on this set is that often it appeared to be too dark. Sure, it IS a dark show but the darkness appeared to be almost murky at times and kinda blurred the backgrounds a little bit. Besides that gripe the video on this set appeared to be pretty good.
No colour bleeding, macroblocking or anything like that. A very good if somewhat murky, transfer.
Audio:
The audio appeared to stand up well in both the Japanese Dolby Digital 5.1 and the English Dobly Digital 2.1 tracks. Everything was crisp, clear with no hiss or drop out at all. I personally liked the dub (being a dub fan) and especially liked the deep, menacing tone of Dimitiri's English VA.
Everything is A-OK in the audio area.

Comment:
On a technical note, like the previous reviewer I discovered that the OAV's themselves have been pressed onto the discs in the wrong order. So when you get your set, start on Disc two and then go onto Disc one. A strange and annoying little error.
Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge is another anime in the long line of them that are adaptations of their video game counterparts. The anime is full of action and fighting scenes, but there is VERY little plot or character development to speak of, not to mention that the direction is somewhat lacking and confusing because there is a tendenacy to flick between fights regularly with little explanation. For instance you could be watching Morrigan fighting Dimitri then all of sudden it switches to someone else fighting, then someone else and so on. Not a great anime by any means, but there are worse ways to spend an evening.
