Reviews for Gundam Wing Perfect Collection

Video:

This show suffers from some pixelation. Nothing that is realy bad per say, but it realy is unfortunate because it realy ddint have to be that way. This is a 6 disc set but they cram 10 eps on the first four discs! Mac just got sloppy on this one. This is not helped by the fact that this was an older show to begin with. That only compounds the issue.

Audio:

Audio sounds just fine though. English sounds perfect and the Japanese track is a little softer than the English one. This is typical of R1's and im assuming was the case for Gundam Wing. The songs are great on this show and they all got transfered realy well.

Subtitle:

R1 rips, Nuff said.

Comment:

As the show goes its a good Gundam show. Lots of good looking mecha designs and some great mecha fights. The political overtones are heavy and at times confusing, but they are all relevant and well portrayed. The major problems i see with this show are that the suits are a bit god like at first, the gundams i mean. For the first few eps they will literaly wade through people. The apex of this problem is Wing's Buster Rifle. This is without a doubt the worst weapon in gundam history. Its basicly a super death lazer. Hiero points it in one direction and everything in that direction dies. Its ridiculus! Hiero is also annoy as hell. His primary weapon seems to be angst, and his buster rifle of course. Other than him and his buster rifle this is a good show. I reccomend checking it out. Its a good way to start watching gundam. it was my first perhaps it will be yours too.

Comment:

this review is for the first disc only, but im assuming, like any other hk series, that these ratings will reflect upon the rest of the series [dvds]. im just putting this out there quickly so others can learn about the quality.
