Video:
The DVDs are ripped from the Berserk Laserdiscs. There is the obvious laserdisc screen that tells you to flip the disc. THe 2nd and 3rd discs however are NOT TV-Rips as he suggested, but still LD rips. There isn't any VHS distortion at the bottom of the screen (and DVD-Ram wasn't around when the show aired). The video is decent. There are some problem however. First of all, the colors are kinda dull, and they bleed in a few places. The other problem is that the video is really soft, and has the type of blocks and grain associated with analog sources. There are also rainbows. THere are scrolling lines in many areas of the video, and some macroblocking. The macroblocking doesn't happen very often however. Beyond that, there aren't any distortions of any sort. THe video is decent, and I know I'm nitpicking, but this is when I compare the video on my computer to the video on my TV. WHen watched on TV, it's superb.
Audio:
I would turn the audio up every time the intro came on because the music rocked so much. It has really good sound (since it came from an LD rather than a bad VHS tape), however doesn't have the dynamic range of most newer DVDs.

Comment:
This is a direct rip of the MI set. It even has the same back cover and serial number as the MI set :p.
The third DVD comes with some extras, including a (unsubbed) trailer on berserk, Creditless openings and endings (Actually two openings, one just like the TV show, and some sort of special one that was never on the TV show), a music video of the Penpals song "Tell Me Why" (which is the kickass intro to berserk), a music video of the Silver Fins' song "Waiting so Long" (This video looks like it was taken from VHS tape because of the Distortion at the bottom of the screen, however, I dunno if MI did that or if the LD was originally like that) and the song "Forces" by Susumu Hirasawa. THere are two versions of Forces, one is a video made by the dude, the other is video of Berserk with the song playing. All of these specials are intermixed in one long special on the DVD. it will have some portion of the Berserk TV show, and then cut into one of the music videos or whatnot.
