Everything appears to be a R1 rip, except for the spring special which (as previously noted) seems to be a digi sub. Very nice packaging; the box features glossy pictures of the characters on a flat background. To confirm what the previous reviewer said, yes, the discs do occasionally skip or completely lock up despite there being no visible marks or smudges on the discs themselves. However, this only happened every so often, but it did become a minor annoyance near the end of the series. It seemed to happen a lot less when I played it on my PC versus a standalone dvd player or PS2. Episode 25 is not on any of the discs, but from what I hear it's just a recap episode. Unless you're one of those people who's obsessive about owning every last drop of footage then this really isn't that big of a deal. BOTTOM LINE: Great series, great set.

Very clean video for the most part. Slight pixelation when there is tons of movement but it's more than acceptable. R1 ripped.

Both Japanese and English DD 2.0 for everything except for the Spring Special which is in Japanese only. An issue I've noticed on a few episodes is the audio will go slightly out of sync by a half second or so. But this isn't very frequent and is unnoticable in a non-action sequence. The other issue is that the English audio is substantially quieter than the Japanese audio. So if you're watching the dub on certain home audio setups you may get some feedback from turning up the volume too much. But if you're watching the Japanese it will be perfect. The dub is terrible anyway so you probably won't be watching it and won't run into this issue ;-)

This unfortunately is not a "perfect collection" of Love Hina since episode 25 is missing from this set. The box does say it contains episodes 1-25 of the TV series but I looked through all the discs and could not find the 25th episode. Also during the series sometimes the disc would skip occasionally and even stop reading. I have not determined whether it's just a faulty disc or if it's an encoding problem that other people would experience as well. The disc visually does not have any smudges or scratches. But it's a pretty good quality set for the most part, just not the "perfect collection" that I was hoping it would be.
