Dai-Gard is a great mecha series. The DVD set is not. The video appears to be off VHS at first, improving as the series progresses. The audio is pretty good, nothing spectacular. The sub-titles are better than the usual HK DVD sets, but far from perfect. There are plenty of incorrect names (like calling dai-gard "Iron-Garder"). The characters names even change for a few episodes! Despite its flaws, Dai-Gard still stands out as top notch. The character development works, making you WANT to watch what happens next. Pick this series up, even if it's the R1 version currently being released. You won't regret it.
