Video:

It was okay...average. The video wasn't crisp as a new anime but decent.

Audio:

Audio was good. Nothing wrong with it. No fade ins or fade outs.

Subtitle:

The subtitles were not average to me. A few times the subtitles won't be there and if they are there you will see the translator's notes of what they think the character said and then you see {not} after it. I am an avid anime watcher and I have to have my anime subtitled. But if its going to be subtitled all of the story should be subtitled and subtitled correctly.

Comment:

Overall, the anime is great. I love the constant suspense. The suspense of who is going to fall in love with who and if this person ever finds out.....A really cute romantic anime. I love it and would suggest it to the fans of anime that love comedy, high school romance anime. I do admit the anime looks as if it was made in the 80's because of the graphics, but still a good one.

Video:

It looks like an old VHS rip. Due to the way it's animated (soft & unclear, somewhat more artistic than realistic), you can get used to the look of it pretty quickly. There are occasional lines through the frame (tracking lines?). Pixellation is pretty noticeable when there's scanning up or down or the movement is fast.

Audio:

Some eps are a little quieter than others, not much, but it's there.

Subtitle:

Overall, very, very good. One amount of money is mis-translated (they forgot a 0 or two), so you're not as impressed with how much money the thing actually costs. Very rare typos or timing issues. Names are all correct. In episode 10, the subs take a plunge -- they seem to throw in random sentences, there's notes to the translators ("mem","not"), but after that episode the subs get better until they're back to the really good quality again.

Comment:

Really great story. It moved along really well and the characters were interesting. I think this is the best shojo anime I've ever seen. Serious, funny, poignant. Truly an excellent show. Misc. Stuff: Opening & closing are subbed. Great chapter stops: before & after opening, at commercial break, before preview, & before closing. Menu is in both English & Japanese.
