Audio:
Simpely great. Everything was so clear. English and jap dubbing was perfect. Got curious so decided to check the jap sound out. Little dissapointed there was no 5.1 dolby but oh well.

I LOVE Gundam Wing. I have to admit, I was a bit dissappointed at times, but that was only because my favorite character had to get beaten up all the time. Sorry all of you Heero fans out there Duo is the best! Bwahahahah! *cough* ahem. Now, back to business. I first started watching this when I was 5, and now I still watch it (on dvd of course) because it is good for all ages! Enough about me, watch Gundam Wing! It is a beautiful masterpiece in it's old delicate age. If any of you people out there have a bone to pick with me, it will have to be in an e-mail. Hah! And for anyone who just wants to babble to me (or let me babble to them ^-^) you can catch me online in an e-mail at : [email protected] Last comments: All hail the Shinigami ( God of Death= Duo)!!!

The onle problem i found with it was the fact that the japaneses audio of episode 31 Preview is messed up. Otherwise no problems and no timing issues

Video:
I watched it on a 28 inch TV through RGB connection. The video is not perfect at all. It is obviously overcompressed and every time a color fades to black or to another scene it is always grainy. This is particularly evident on the first part of disk 6, but it's visible on all the other disks as well. Fortunately the bitrate, although being a constant 5Mbps, doesn't matter if fast or still scene, is sufficient to avoid bad macroblocking on action scenes. This doesn't mean it is immune from compression arctifacts, though. In fact every time Trowa's Gundam open its breast and fires there are visible macroblocks (even during the opening). They tried to save some little space putting OP and ED themes only once per disk and linking them using seamless branching... but in my opinion the only real good idea was to use one disk more...
Audio:
I only listened the Japanese dub and found no problems. The audio was clear and always in synch. Only on the preview at the end of ep 31 the track was completely f***ed... you don't lose anything, fortunately.
Subtitle:
Great job, here! Of course, they was made by professional translators, not your cheap amateurs translating from Chinese. Always perfectly timed, with a very good and elegant translation. If I have to nitpick on something, I don't like when they change words like "brother", "sister" etc. with the name of the characters. For some strange reason on the first episodes of disk 6 the titles are completely invented.
Comment:
Great gatefold, but damn, they have to do something for that glue that always doesn't hold very well the plastic plates.

If there was any grain or pixilation, i didn't see it in this set. The colors are rich and vibrant. I presume this was ripped off the R1 disks, no noticeable problems that i have noticed.
Audio:
Crisp and clear, great audio (even dolby 5.0 maybe). No noticeable problems, you'll hear everything crisp and clear. Altough, in episode 31, in the next episode preview, the audio is all garbled, and extremly scratchy, thankfully, only for this little part.
Subtitle:
a R1 rip, nice white subs with a black background, easy to see. The opening subs are easy to see, overall very nice.
Comment:
This was the first dubbed gundam wing set to come out by Manga. The mac version is a manga rip, and i hear even the FX version is. Overall, if your a gundam wing fan, and want this set dubbed, pick it up, a outstanding six disk set, as the pics show the gatefold is outstanding, besides that one little problem, everything is top notch.

Video:
Like A+ VHS quality. I did notice a few grainy scenes but i mean a few. Considering how fast this show is the pixelation/grainy scenes weren't bad. I only noticed a few landscape backgrounds and a few times where they had close-ups of heavy arms do his dual mini guns that had this problem.
Audio:
Dolby prologic again. Great audio, the only problem was that it was very slightly soft. Just turn up the volume a few notches more than normal television and you will be fine.
Subtitle:
Could be R1 Subs. I did notice that they basically were closed captions of the english dubbs and every now and again rephase the beginning of a sentence or a word but it still had the same meaning. This either meant they were cheap on the subs or they did a great job dubbing this set. Also, the subs designs are very good. Not too small of font, at the very bottom out of the way, and are white with a slight black border which is very nice for the show.

I love the box. Very short on extras but worth the price. Definitely a perfect gundam wing dvd. Seeing as there is no review on the endless watlz that was made by the same company, i will add a review here. It is the e0017. It doesn't have the heero on the cover. The dvd movie is cool. Perfect video, dolby digital 5.1 audio english track on the movie, and great subs. It has alot of extras. You can watch it as a movie or the 3 episode ova. You can choose english/jap on both ways but only the english language on the movie has the 5.1 audio.
