Great audio! I perfer to listen in japanese because whenever anime is in english it doesnt really sound that great.

Subtitle:

I give this a 3 like Francisoh stated above the names will start change after the first or second disc. Like when we are introduce to Haku, the sub will stated shiro.

Comment:

I love that Naruto he funny. This is a great anime serie. I highly recommend it if you are into action/comedy anime.

Video:

Very clean and crisp video. Didn't have any problem whatsoever. R1 DVD quality.

Audio:

No English dud, only Jap audio. But that's what most ppl prefer anyway. VA done well, and music is very clear. Cannot get better.

Subtitle:

I give 3 for sub. for few reasons. It's not 5 because sub is not consistant, like how character name change between Japanese and Chinese version. It has some Engalishi problem. I speak Japanese, and some translations are not accurate; translator just put in what they think is appropriate. Sub is white; I personally prefer yellow subs. It's not 1 because sub is understandable and relatively clear in most episode. Overall, I give it a 3. Actually it's not too bad, because disc 1 has quite good sub. So even when ppl's name start changing in disc3 (disc3 and 4 had most problems), you would know who they are talking about.

Comment:

This is a great series. Great mix of action/ninja stuff/friendship/comedy. Characters are somewhat stereotipical; 3 trio/team of ninjas in training, the handsome perfect elite boy who girls love and guys hate, the girl ninja who go gaga over first guy, and comedy goofy ninjaboy who always make mistake but actually has most innate power and is the main character of the story. But anime itself is awsome. Each ninjas all come with unique(super cool) skill/power that they develop as they learn their ninja craft. All kind of cool enemy/ally ninjas. If you are a fan of ninja or action anime (and good comedy), you should do yourself a favor and get this series. I own over 50 anime series (both the ones that came to US, and ones exclusive in Japan), and this series rank one of my top 10 favorite. You won't regret it. Hope that helped. ^_^
