One of my most engaging HK DVD anime! ... wait, make that one of the most engaging and dramatic anime I have ever watched... Video: 4.5/5 Excellent. No problems whatsoever. Audio: 4.5/5 Only watched it with TV speakers and PC 2-speaker setup, so can't comment much, but everything sounded good. Subs: 4.5/5 Excellent. There may be timing or spelling problems that I have forgotten about, but this is as good as you can get. Very good show, 3 hours of 6 episodes on 1 disc. Full of dramatic moments and action sequences. Caution: very gory, definitely not for family viewing.

I had forgotten how bloody this anime is. Definitely not for children. Aside from that, this is one of the best HK DVD releases I've seen yet. The direction is tight, the scripting is brilliant, and the quality is top notch. The series follows a team of adventurers who all have super abilities granted by "stands" which can best be described as spirits that live within their host and can be summoned when needed. I'm amazed at how much thought went into the use of these "stands" and their interactions with each other. The video is awesome. They only put an hour and a half on each DVD so the quality doesn't suffer at all. The sound is some of the best I've heard yet with clean seperations and no hum or hiss. The subtitles are a fine example of what all releases should strive to achieve. With the exception of a few typos, they are perfect. I have to go with the majority here and highly recommend this series to anyone who doesn't mind a bit of blood and wants to see a clever series with an amazing presentation.

I loved this anime ever since I saw the fan sub done by Sylverwind. It appears as though they used his script as well. It was a great buy, full dobly pro logic dvd. And great subbing of course. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. Get it NOW!!

This is a 6 episode OAV. There are a few misworded parts but the subs are excellent (appears to be a fansub). Video and audio is excellent as well. You will be satisfied with this DVD. I guarantee it.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is an awesome anime. Perfect mix of action, adventure, cheese, and comedy all compact into a nice 6 episode OVA package . This release is amazing everyway you look at it, here's a break down: Video - this show is from 1993 and looks phenominal. The video clarity is excellent, the visuals are sharp, the colors bold. Everything looks excellent. The scenes inside Cairo, I believe it was, look every bit as current as any anime coming out today. There are two video glitches in episode 2, one in episode 4, and a logo that appears to cover the Anime Cartoon logo at the beginning of every episode for about 20 seconds, aside from this, the show looks excellent. Audio - There is a slight humm here, but it isn't overwelming and usually can only be heard on quiet scenes. Overall though - very, very good. Subtitles - Fansub script all the way (there is no US release yet, it was just recently acquired by some weird company I'd never heard of and is planned for release by Synch-Point later this year.) - I took the liberty of downloading the fansubs and comparing, they're identical - and yes, this is a GOOD thing. The subtitles are spot on 99% of the time, there was one instance in episode 1 where the last few letters of the name "Speedwagon" were clipped and there was one missing sentence in episode 6. Aside from this, they were flawless (Yes, they even managed to use spell check or use the scripts directly, no memorable spelling errors.) Outstanding job. Overall - This disc (or set if you get it from AC) is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The series kicks ass, the animation is old but current, and despite the cheesy names and looks of some of the characters, it represents one of the finest anime adventures of the past decade. On top of that, you get a kickass score by Marcos D'ambros. edited by Rich on 02 Mar 2002 9:48 am

A very good release (but not a rip of the US release as I originaly stated - sorry) with perfect subs and video but the audio had quite a hum in the background. Not perfect but close. edited by gummi on 03 Mar 2002 1:06 am
