Overall:
Video:
Good Video-I did notice that beginning with one of the episodes on disc 3 they was a DVD-ram display, meaning that begining with this episode that they were TV rips. Still very good.
Audio:
No Problems, just your two channel stereo-sounds just dandy:)
Subtitle:
Subs are great in the episodes themselves and names are mostly correct, hardly any instances of engrish. However.... The 1st opening and ending songs have several different translations for them,They apparently couldn't make up their minds for them. For the 2nd opening and ending songs they at least stayed with the same translations. Music is the same for both the 1st and 2nd op/eds, the lyrics are just different between the two. What I mean by this is that the 1st-op/endings has the same music as the 2nd-op/endings, just with different lyrics between the the two sets, in case you didn't get that.:)
Comment:
At the end of the first disc(after the last episode) there's a clean opening, ending and a bunch of lineart of the characters, mecha and backgrounds. Probably ripped from the r2 dvd-there's nothing else on the 2nd and 3rd discs. Overall this is a decent mecha action series, I liked it and the CG rendered stuff isn't so bad. Comes in a nice box too.

Video:
The first 21 episodes are R2 DVD rips, great quality except sometimes there are translucent green bars, they are more noticeable in darker scenes The last 3 episodes are TV rips. Very good though, probably the best TV rips I've seen, recorded with DVD-RAM, if it wasn't for the DVD-RAM menu I probably wouldn't have noticed it but upon closer inspection I could see the picture was not as sharp and a bit darker than the DVD rip episodes. Audio:
Nothing wrong with the audio. Obviously the audio on TV rip episodes wasn't good as the DVD rip ones but still it was very good.
Subtitle:
The subtitles are generally very good, there was a fair amount of typos/mispellings though. Some grammar mistakes but they are rare. Probably from fansubs The names are for the most time correct, the main villain, Gauron had several different spellings throughout the series: Gaul, Gauln, Gaulon, Gouln. Also a minor character name was changed in the subtitles. It was Majest in the subtitles instead of Batisto but he was only in 3 episodes.
Comment:
First two DVDs had 9 episodes each and were DVD9s. Third DVD had 6 episodes and was a DVD5 Opening and ending credits fro every episode. 3 chapter breaks per episode, one at the end of the opening credits, one at the beginning of the ending credits and one at the end of the ending credits. There are extras at the end of the first DVD, clean opening and ending credits, two trailers and character line art.

Okay, the video on this was all out amazing! Not once did I ever see the screen die or color fade. The video rip is high quality.
Audio:
No crackling or popping, the stereo audio on these discs are clean cut.
Subtitle:
Pretty good. Grammar slips every now and then, and an occasional and rare name switch, But it's nothing to worry about it only goes from "Kaname" to "Chidori" or vice versa. This often happens in R1 releases as to have the names stated in an American fasion.
Comment:
I love this series and it's one of the three mechs I personally can sit through. This boxset is a nice deal. Get it >.
